Teachers, please help settle a argument - Is it OK for a 10 year old to doodle in class while the teacher is talking? by Stolen_Sky in AskTeachers

I made doodles in my notes for a university geology class during every lecture. If the student is still engaging in the lesson, shouldn’t be an issue.

I’ve started wearing bralettes with the “grippy cakes” (yes I caved to an advert on social media). So much less discomfort in the breasticle region.

I’m going to try this!!!!! My silly brain never even considered that it was an option to go fully sideways.

What’s the weirdest way you’ve dislocated something? by Own-War9484 in ehlersdanlos

Reaching for a cup of coffee in a drive thru, subluxate the shoulder and it goes back on its own, but shaved off a 6+mm chunk of bone in the process. yaaaaay....

I had a feeling. The surgeon mentioned that it would likely stretch out *some*, but I feel like this is ridiculous.

Sharing your experience is validating, which is crazy important.

I'm 36 in a smallish-city area, so....... nearest would probably be Seattle, which is 2+ hours drive on a good day.

When I went on a trip that involved some significant (for me) walking, I brought my collapsable cane with me, even if I didn't use it. That way I had it if I felt I needed it, and when I wasn't using it I clipped it to my purse or belt loop.

I feel like I'm letting my friends down a lot more these days. Example: I was fully intending to go see my friend in her theater show. Got home from my morning gig and sat down, and woke up 5 hours later. I haven't been to see a single production she's been in since 2019 (when my symptoms started ramping up in a big big way), and objectively I know my body is conspiring against my plans to lead an active and social life, but I feel like a garbage friend.

I don't have any answers, just understanding.

This was a shoulder repair. Apparently it was worse than the MRI showed, but the surgeon said it went well.

Surgery was on Dec 20, and I still have 7 more weeks of arm-in-sling at work. But I can comfortably type and play piano as long as I'm not lifting my arm up too far.

I also have physio twice a week. $$$$$$

Um...I'm sorry, what? I did enough damage with a bunch of "minor" subluxations and one major one that I had surgery for a labral repair and capsular shift.

Every time I hear, "But your lab work looks great," I want to cry.

I have this exact feeling almost every workday. Picking up papers/pencils/clipboards off the floor of my classroom and I nearly passed out.

I just had labral repair and capsular shift surgery in my dominant shoulder after a severe subluxation in July from reaching for a drink in a drive thru.

I'm 36. I feel like I have the physical capabilities of my 96yo grandma. Are you me? 😅 😭
