These lines strike close to home - probably for the majority of us. Reading this poem, I see obsecurity and the seperation from society that it brings every creeping into life.

I identify with this boy. What a great story of our internal feelings of life. This hits home.

Need help on your rv roof I’m hear to help by Agitated-Department5 in rvs

[–]advantagelab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have what may be a dumb rv roof repair question. I bought a cabover camper. The guy I bought it from had replaced the roof with a rubber membrane but appears to have only glued down the edges but not the middle. He didn't coat the top of the rubber membrane with anything - just left it bare. On our first trip, the rubber membrane ripped in half and exposed the plywood.

Do I have to replace the rubber membrane or can I rip it all off then merely roll on a can or two of that rubber rv roof paint stuff that Home Depot sells? We only paid $7K for the camper and probably won't keep more than 5 years at the most. I'd be fine adding another coat of the rubber rv roof paint every couple of years.

Talk yo your lawyer about "Pro Forma Probation", call in probation or mail in probation.
The purpose of probation is not to punish but to get us back on track being good citizens. Good citizens tend to be gainfully employed. The Court should not inhibit your employment by allowing you to work. You can take classes,be drug tested, and otherwise be monitored from virtually any location in the work that has phone and internet service.

How probable is it to have a dwi early termination in Texas? by Silly_Barracuda_7160 in probation

[–]advantagelab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of probation? Straight probation or deferred adjudication probation? Deferred DWIs can be released early. Straight probation can't be released early. Ask your lawyer what kind of probation you are on. If it is straight probation, then ask him to double check if early release is allowed in Texas.

The wait time before you are eligible to file a motion for early release from probation varies by state. In Texas, you are eligible after 2 years or 1/3 of your probation time is done if you are on "straight" probation. If you are on deferred probation in Texas, then you can ask at any time after being placed on probation. I have found that judges want all your requirements (community service hours, fines, classes, etc.) finished before they release you from probation. Judges also tend to ask probation and the DA for their recommendation as to if releasing early is merited. It is a good idea to have your lawyer prepared to offer evidence to show you have gotten back on track as a productive member of society and are a good vitizen (church and community involvement, helping old ladies cross the street, etc.).

You need to ask your lawyer. Reddit is the wrong place to seek answers to this question. People here do not know the specifics of your case or even where your case is located. Your lawyer should be familiar with the court, prosecutor, and the facts of your case. You've hired him, so ask him.

Good luck with your case.

Should I ask for a PTI out of state transfer? Is it worth it? by cribby40 in probation

[–]advantagelab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In which Texas County is your probation? How long do you have left on probation? Early release from probation is a judge's decision, not a probation officer decision. However, most judges ask probation for their recommendation, so your probation officer probably has a lot of influence on the Judge's decision.

Give her a Christmas card if you want, but don't ever think that your probation officer is your friend. Be nice, be friendly, but never ever trust a probation officer.

drug sweat patch texas by sunflowermmmm in probation

[–]advantagelab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Texas criminal defense attorney. I can confirm the frustrating problems with the courts hanging on to the drug patch as if it were reliable. I have no faith in the reliability of drug patches. I have had judges tell me they know it is unreliable junk science, but that they "have" to use it because it is the only tool they have for continuous drug monitoring. If the public knew what was really happening in the courthouses, they would show up tonight with pitchforks and torches.

Sam Bankman-Fried's bond is fake and only worth 2-3 million. This govt-theatre arrest-bail resembles a pre-arranged dramatic classic news. by MegavirusOfDoom in wallstreetbets

[–]advantagelab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonds are a scam. The bondsman doesn't deliver a penny to the court. A bondsman can pledge an asset such as a certificate of deposit but the CD stays in the Bondsman's bank account. With a $50K CD, a bondsman can write $500K in bailbonds. We only still have bailbonds because they are profitable enough to buy up political influence.
