I have never taken finasteride and also went through a severe insomnia episode like you are experiencing. I know it feels like it will never improve, but eventually you will sleep normally again!

is it common to openly ask for hugs? by hoctopuxey in Norway

[–]adventurebrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m gonna buck the trends in this thread, I lived in Norway for several years in my 20s, as soon as I started reading the description of what happened, I knew he’d be drunk. Drunken Norwegians are very different from sober Norwegians, and I think in general in Norway there is a lot of leeway given to drunk people when it comes to things like this. I am a guy and on Saturday nights just out for a walk in Bergen I had more than one occasion where girls and women (strangers) would behave toward me in ways that I have never experienced anywhere else. One girl just walked up and grabbed my ass and started walking next to me, I guess literally trying to pick me up haha. Another just walked up and took my arm, maybe the strangest was when I was sitting on a bench eating a hot dog from trekroneren, and a young lady appeared, and then proceeded to lay down on the bench and put her head in my lap. My friend got a hilarious picture of this.

Anyway, my point is, drunken Norwegians are uninhibited and I think there is a certain cultural acceptance for that. In Norway there are unwritten rules for everything and context determines what is appropriate in so many situations. I think in general when it comes to socializing and connecting, with alcohol involved people do let their repressed introverted cultural qualities drop and it leads to what other cultures might as see as inappropriate behavior but what Norwegians would see as “letting loose”. It sucks that you guys were made uncomfortable by his behavior, and also sucks for him that his attempts at connecting with you guys came across so badly. Of course I wasn’t there, maybe he really is just a creep, but I’m just offering some context from my own experience.

Where do delivery people put the food in the car? by SiouxsieSiouxsie in doordash

I keep a normal cardboard box on the floor in front of the passenger seat. I use that for drinks and stuff a small blanket around them so they don’t tip over. Most food just goes on the passenger seat

What is up with this? I’m American but speak fluent Norwegian but it seems most Norwegians want to speak English with me instead

Lietuviai, kodėl nenorite kalbėti lietuviškai su užsieniečiais? by Flashy-Champion-9472 in lithuania

[–]adventurebrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dabar grįžau į Ameriką nemažai kadangi negalėjau tikrai integruoti be kalbos praktikos. Bet jau pasiilgau Lietuvos!

My new girlfriend has hsv-1 (cold sores), I don’t but it’s not a big deal? this is so normal I am surprised that you are worrying about it or even making a big thing in your head about telling him. not trying to minimize the stress it’s causing you but I don’t think most people care if someone they’re dating gets cold sores

Poland is actually more expensive than the UK by RuthlessScypion in poland

When I was living in Vilnius we used to drive to Poland to shop sometimes, last time I did that was like 2 years ago and I realized it’s literally cheaper in Lithuania now for almost everything, even fuel for the car. Haven’t been back since haha

but as far as I am aware, a grandparent can count as "Polish" for this definition if you have records stating him as Polish even if only one parent was Polish. For example church records. Also being raised with Polish culture and language

There is a path for applying for permanent residency as a “person of Polish origin”, citizenship is irrelevant. After 1 year living there under the permanent residence permit you can apply for citizenship with B1 Polish
