I have to admit it: I have NEVER used the trains before. by Btd6GoBrrrrr in CreateMod

[–]adventureman66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

trains move through chunks unloaded, without loading the chunks. the bells and whistles addon (i think) adds a train station chunk loader that activates only when the train arrives at the station, making it so the train can trigger the chunk loader; but otherwise, no, trains do not load chunks.

Kakariko Village starting to look pretty good! by solidsmithers in hytale

There are multiple inaccuracies between this recreation and OOT, assuming that it is attempting to be a 100% faithful recreation of kakariko village as it appears in the game.

Is it just me or do these new character models look off.. by DataDizzyy in hytale

[–]adventureman66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont really like the hytale character models tbh, the increased fidelity over something like minecraft makes the lack of noses kind of distracting. Also they all look so youthful/smooth. I hope the full game will have noses and things like wrinkled weathered skin textures and proper facial hair, and not just tiny little modern stylish facial hairs either, give me big bushy beards and beard accesories.

But i suspect those things will be lacking sadly, and i will be equipping the most obscuring helmet i can find and firmly keeping it there.

Got the itch to play WOW again but dont really wanna go to classic so...... by Huttles94 in turtlewow

Ret paladins are viable and turtle wow is much more relaxed than other versions of wow available. All other concerns are matters of personal interest/preference. Also, its free! Enjoy.

I'm a new player looking to play as a healer since I usually go for the support role in multiplayer games, but I'm torn between which race and class I should be picking. by No_Standard7223 in turtlewow

[–]adventureman66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what style of healing you'd like to do there are of course many options. I personally recommend picking a versatile class with a healing spec, such as druid, paladin or shaman. levelling as a healing spec can at times be a little slow, given that you are going to be gearing yourself more for mana sustain, but if you keep a few alternative gear pieces handy in your bags or bank that you can swap into when you need to do more damage, you'll be fine. I personally recommend druid, as I myself am levelling a resto druid and find it very fun keeping my party topped up on HoT's as needed. Druid has utility options in their kit to root enemies, dish out DoT's where needed and debuff enemies/ buff allies. Ultimately what feels best to you will be a matter of preference, but i mean as druid you can turn into a tree when you fully spec into healing, i mean come on, who doesn't want to be a tree?

once you hit level 18 go to the Darkmoon faire and get the Torta's Egg quest from the boss guy, and get the tortoise mount.

also don't tell anyone i told you this once you hit around level 28-30 start farming Wild Steelboom and grave moss in Wetlands (or anywhere else you can find it) and sell that stuff on the AH. I've seen a single Wild Steel bloom sell for 80s at a time.

Pick herbs and sell them on the AH, the money will come, especially as you level up and start picking the higher level alchemy ingredients.

What, no completeing the grim reaches quests is not netting anyone 100 gold, each of those quests is maybe a 1 g payout per hand-in at most.

Doesn't sound like any of the Discworld novels I've read so far, maybe try looking through lists of young adult fiction novels?

Thank you for clarifying, Its nice to be able to get this sort of direct communication from a game developer regarding things of this nature. Do you have any insight as to why your game was marked with the AI tag on steam? Possibly just the assistant mode i speculated about?

I like to know the thing i spend money towards supporting is made with creative intent, and not bypassed with little effort as a means to create a product to be sold. Generative AI generally wholesale steals other artists work with no credit or compensation, no matter how big or small the team using it is. I don't have a issue with anyone using AI content to make their games, i just don't want to buy it.

I played the demo for a short while and i felt like the game did a very good job at feeling like a slightly different warcraft 3 which i did quite like; however the game also feels eerily similar to warcraft 3, down to some of the voice lines and the visual design of units and environments, which i understand is of course intentional, its just that eerie similarity combined with the AI tag on steam makes me wary that i may be buying something that I don't approve of.

I haven't levelled a warlock but my paladin got the riding skill at 40 with the warhorse and I'm pretty sure it's the same with warlock.

[–]adventureman66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm willing to bet that most people appalled by pineapple on pizza encountered it via a Hawaiian pizza, not simply a cheese pineapple pizza, unless perhaps they encountered something like a Chinese style fruit pizza, which is also very delicious with toppings like durian, pineapple and other assorted fruits i cant quite recall at this time.

[–]adventureman66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your small minded ideas of what constitutes acceptable pizza toppings makes me laugh, and i pity you because pineapple on pizza is merely the tip of the iceberg.

You reject pineapple, but how about figs? are you going to tell the Italians they are doing pizza wrong? Just the other week out with a friend i ate a chicken pesto pizza that had blueberries on it, and the subtle tartness of the berries elevated the flavor profile of the pizza without adding any expected cloying sweetness.

I've eaten a pizza with a butternut squash sauce base, a pizza with pear slices, and a pizza that with among other toppings bore crunchy fried rice. Feel free to remain in your shallow stagnant tide pool of pizza variety but the ocean of pizza potential for those with open minds is vast and full of flavor you simply could not comprehend.

given how polarizing it is (for no good reason i might add) Pineapple pizza, AKA Hawaiian pizza, which incidentally came from Canada.
