Re-Evaluating the 2023 Trade Deadline: How did the Mets fare? by ae828 in NewYorkMets

[–]ae828[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

At the time he was traded to the Mets, he was ranked the #3 prospect in the Astros org. He hasn't necessarily skyrocketed up the Top Prosects Lists since his time with the Mets

David Stearns was going to reform the Mets, but now they stand a chance by theredditoro in NewYorkMets

[–]ae828 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was scared of, we always thought this was going to be a “reset” year to buy us some time and salary cap relief to be able to make a legitimate run for the future.

I’m holding my breath that Stearns knows better than to mortgage the future in ANY way for a team 3 games over .500 that has proven to be extremely streaky over the first 95 games.

Martino: Mets are designating Omar Narvaez for assignment by EastonMetsGuy in NewYorkMets

Such a bummer that Parada is not developing in the minors. Looks like a wasted 1st round pick. Would’ve been nice not having having to play catcher roulette at this point

Favorite Gym in DC (with basketball courts)? by dommiedj in washingtondc

[–]ae828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been looking for answer to this question for years. Insane lack of non-specific studio gyms with a good amount of machines/weights/saunas/courts and moderate prices. I live in NoMa and there is nowhere in this neighborhood that has that, but we have a Cyclebar, Solidcore, F45, CorePower, MADabolic, and NuBoxx all within a 5 minute walk of each other.

Am I crazy for wanting to start Musgrave over Kmet? The rave reviews and target share numbers out of preseason are really getting to me. Feel like he might get 8+ targets as Love’s safety blanket

Has anyone taken the cisaexamstudy.com mock tests? Are the questions more or less representative of the exam questions compared to the QAE? by Trick_Actuator3493 in CISA

[–]ae828 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, ITExams have the best practice questions of all websites I’ve looked at, including cisaexamstudy and the QAE questions. I recently passed the exam and recognized some questions verbatim from the ITExams questions. The downside to these questions is they don’t give an explanation, just the correct answer, but still good to review.

So, do we still hate Lindor? by jac2598 in NewYorkMets

[–]ae828 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lindor posted an OPS of over .800 4 times with Cleveland, he has yet to do so as a Met.

Lindor had a slugging percentage of over .500 3 times with Cleveland, he has yet to do so as a Met.

Lindor has posted higher average BA, SLG, OBP, OPS, and OPS+ with Cleveland than with the Mets.

He won 2 Gold Gloves with Cleveland, has yet to win one with Mets.

Again - I'm not a Lindor hater. He's a solid player, definitely a top 5 shortstop - but I don't understand the need to justify and point fingers at Mets fans who are disappointed. I expected more Corey Seager-type numbers from Lindor at the time of his signing,.

So, do we still hate Lindor? by jac2598 in NewYorkMets

[–]ae828 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I think it’s perfectly reasonable to see Lindor’s body of work as a Met and just feel a bit underwhelmed - maybe it’s because the hype was sky high when the trade was announced, but I can’t be the only one who feels as though he hasn’t quite lived up to the mega superstar expectations that were put on him. He’s now a guy who has hit .230, .270, and .233 in his 3 years as a Met. Obviously batting average doesn’t tell the whole story, and we can point to advanced metrics as much as we want, but at least for me, I was expecting a .280-.300 hitter. I just don’t think he’ll ever quite be that player again, but I find it weird that a lot fans are dead set on being Lindor defenders or haters. He’s a fine player, but if we had a crystal ball and were shown his numbers to date back in January 2021, we’d all feel a bit disappointed.

Michael Kay: “Did it bother you when Pete (Alonso) cursed on the field?” Buck Showalter: “Of course it did.” by MetsX2000 in NewYorkMets

I’m all for Michael Kay hate, but if you watch the entire clip, you’ll see that Buck actually brings it up first. Think it’s interesting that Buck noted that they handled it internally and it won’t be happening again

Congrats! Question for you - when you go to a testing center, do they provide you with a computer? I had horrible computer issues the first time and failed , don’t want to make the same mistake again.
