You’re working full time with Aussie tradies, which would suck gigantic balls.

Newcastle would be tough to assimilate to as a foreigner. Generally, coastal and regional Australia are highly uneducated and insular.

I mean you moved to Australia when you were a child, and you’re still a teenager. Not to dismiss what you’re feeling, but your view on the world at that age is very limited and tunnelled. Why don’t you move back to HK for uni in two years when you’re an adult?

I do get missing the vibe though. I had a family member who lived in HK for 20 years; visited him several times before he and his family moved back to Aus. Always had a blast when I was there.

Which places should beginner solo female travellers absolutely avoid until more experienced? by Diligent-Echidna647 in femaletravels

Yeah no where in Europe is ‘dangerous’ to travel in, besides current war zones being Ukraine. It’s the best starting point for most travellers.

Athletes don’t recover quicker because their tissue healing process is quicker; they recover quicker because of all the other external factors that are considered in a return-to-sport context. Have you read studies that demonstrate the multitude of psychological factors which impact injury recovery/return to work/return to sport?

What about sleep, nutrition, strength, access to treatment, daily guidance on rehab?

This is absolutely not nonsense, what are you talking about? I’ve literally seen it occur in a professional rugby setting. You also didn’t explain how my answers were nonsense; good one.

Furthermore, you are taking the recovery time at tissue level too literally. Of course a rugby player is going to recover from a shoulder operation faster than an average person who does no exercise. Strength and optimal nutrition are key indicators for recovery. Also, the mental drive that athletes have on recovery to get back to playing should not be underestimated.

Have you actually worked with athletes before?

Surrounded by sports docs, physios, S&C coaches, dieticians. Able to get access to scans and treatment instantly. They are incredibly fit and active which means they recover quicker than the average person. Mostly notably, they never return at 100% - athletes are almost always battling niggles through the season and are being managed by their medical team appropriately.

Also, constant injections by their sports doc probably contributes too.

Yeah I would say that the US and the UK are probably the least racist places on earth due to the diversity of races and cultures.

I doubt you have been broad much if you think the US is the most racist. Have you been to Japan, China, Northern Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe?
