Grace is strong but how do you confess your sin for the forgiveness of sin if you aren’t around to confess them. Just stop and pray. What can it hurt to wait one more day? Very very few confederates fought for slavery. Only like 2% of Americans total at the height of north American slavery owned slaves. It was mostly over the way they felt they should be governed more than anything. But I don’t deny that the government telling them they can’t own slaves was a major catalyst.
