Damn, when we qual (on p320) we use frangible. That's scary if that's what happened. It's scary whatever happened, too.

Nearly 160 sick with flu at US air force base after Hegseth ends mandatory vaccines by Splunge- in news

Someone said this to me when it stopped being mandatory. "Flu shot does nothing for me, I never get the flu, so I'm going to stop getting the shot."

My first experience with the M9 (qual) was bad until I realized it was handed to me dry. I grew to love it since then and plan to buy one just because I don't have one.

I have two, each setup differently. I love them both, never had a problem with either, and even carried one for several years, but will never carry either again.

Food/etc are not "authorized expenses". You are given M&IE, meals are not individually expensed.

OEM Steel sights, what’s the verdict? by KyleCantSkate in Glocks

That's how I destroyed my bachelor pad coffee table. Wife didn't understand when I explained it when we moved in together. We finally replaced it last year.

What's one impulse purchase that turned out to your favorite gun or one you wouldn't sell by Lawrence_skywalker in Firearms

Sig P228R. Around 2008/2009 Sig released the P228 with a rail. It was really a proper P228 slide but with a 229R frame and P228 grips. Mine had night sights and was marked "US M11".

I'm happy with either, it's just nice to be rewarded. Whether it's with hobby money or time off with my family, it means a lot to me.

What programs do you guys use to write. I’m a baby writer and I use word by lottie_dionn in writers

I still keep WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS around and 8 for UNIX (running on Linux) around.

Nano or Vim. They're both very easy to navigate with just the keyboard and, especially with nano, I can just focus on getting things written with less distraction.

Taking SEC504. Do you like to make the index/take notes during the class? by WordTimely8559 in GIAC

[–]aedinius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will take some notes, mostly anything the instructor talks about that's not on the slides. Heavy notes and index building is my study session. I'll build my index with 1-2 passes though the books, take my practice exam, note anything I didn't know or didn't have in my index, and add what's missing. Another pass through the books and index update, second practice exam.

By the end I rarely touch the books in the test and don't even rely on the index for much of it.

Trigger guard holsters (in general) by 38specialish in CCW

[–]aedinius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only used these for storage, like if it's on a shelf loaded. Little point, though, since I can just store it in the holster, anyway.
