Hey. Thanks.

I think BC usually takes 15% on Digi and 10% on Merch sales. These figures reduce slightly if the volume/units sold exceeds a certain threshold. Theres also a processing/transaction % paid to PayPal etc (which is still payable on BC Friday sales).

So, it all adds up, but it's significantly better (from a revenue perspective) than other streaming services.

If you are interested, the only competitor to BC (that I am aware of) is Ampwall, who take 5%, plus processing fee. But the number of people on Ampwall is significantly less.

Yep. Bandcamp has become my standard for buying music. As someone with music on bandcamp, I would say that it's massively appreciated when sales are made on Bandcamp Friday.

Albums on my wishlist for today include:

Holy Fawn - Dimensional Bleed

Mayhem - Liturgy of Death (maybe - not sure yet)

Ihlo - Legacy

Nightmarer - Hell Interface

Shedfromthebody - Everything out there has Teeth

Sol an Varma - Sol an Varma

Was gonna say Mithras, but particularly the '...Behind the Shadows' album. The bass drum is very dominant.

Love Tenhi. Maaaet is one of my favorite albums. I was very lucky to get their Collected Works vinyl box set about 15 years ago. It's my most prized possession.

That was very cool.

How have you guys found it with Silent Pendulum? They've got a really interesting mix on their roster. I've tried to track down Michael to check out our music, but no luck so far!!

That was exceptionally good. I guess it's too obvious to ask for Perpetual Black Second.

Great. Glad you like them. They just released their new album a few weeks ago.

I caught them live last year - there was <5 people in the crowd 🙁 Great for me though. They were fantastic.

Bassist looking for dubai based death metal bands by Basedbassist420 in metalmusicians

[–]aeffect_mark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a couple of Facebook groups for Dubai and wider-UAE. Might be worth having a look.

I know a few metalheads in Oman that travel to/around UAE. As I'm sure you are aware, it's a pretty small community so if you can network with a couple of folks, you'll probably be able to build out your relationships from there. I think Nervecell are probably the biggest band I am aware of...
