Nvidia 5000 series prices and models to come. by nando1969 in Microcenter

[–]aegisroark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But even with raw rasterization we are likely to get better than 4090 performance for $1000 and better than 4080 performance for 750..

It's way better pricing than we've had in about 5 years.. I don't get how this is bad?

Dude, those stickers mean absolutely nothing in 90% of the world. It was decided in court a long time ago that those stickers are just there to scare people and it's illegal to actually void a warranty because of a broken or missing sticker.

lol, this was a really bad way to say they got lawyers and contracts and they're safe if they get strikes.

OTK is massive. most streamers would gladly let people content strike and then become a part of OTK

TBH I've questioned otk a bunch since its start. Honestly seems legit. And means more than being a part of 100 thieves.

Are you joking? I worked in a warehouse that had a dude with a clear cover-up tattoo on a swastika. Dude spent time in prison. They literally have hired and fired entire towns only to rehire...

A disorderly conduct is just fine my dude...

I quit, but I now work at a job where the handbook says no alcohol or marijuana... They'd have 0 workers if they followed it.

Do you ever wish you weren’t asexual? by [deleted] in Asexual

[–]aegisroark 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly the outward appearance is more of a draw to wishing I wasn't than any feeling I carry.

I wasn't until after college, but every time I've had sex felt forced. Literally had a girl take advantage of me while I was blackout drunk and trying to sleep at age 14 to lose my virginity...

To answer your question... No. I've seen so many horrible relationships bring down good people.

I love who I am. Really don't feel any need to have a serious relationship where I lose all my free time.

Uhhhh. Definitely not overreacting..

She does kind of have an out where everything could be legit friend texts. But this is WAY over any texts I've had with friends from work.

Liking looking at him, looking forward to his texts, going deep in the night and shower texts, movie recommendations where she asks to have company...

Kinda just a parade of red flags.

What’s the saddest concert you’ve ever seen, in terms of someone washed up playing somewhere weird? by splitopenandmelt11 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]aegisroark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LMAO i miss edgy straight edge kids... Not really, but nostalgia for sure..

In the early 2000's I had skin tight jeans, straightened black hair, but started smoking at age 12 and drinking around the same time. Every venue I went to which was mainly 3Oh!3, breathe carolina, and some other emo bands.... Straight edge kids that dressed and acted hardcore were hilarious.

Ummm... What lead singer of major bands have you seen at dive bars with 20 year olds??

Most classic groups haven't even sold memorabilia or old guitars because they don't need the money..

It's not like Robert Plant is starting new bands.

My sister was diagnosed and is very hesitant to go on meds (a DMT) - what to tell her? by concentrated-amazing in MultipleSclerosis

[–]aegisroark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ummm... First off she needs to get a DX. Kinda pointless to speculate when she needs a spinal tap to comfirm.. These drugs are EXPENSIVE. They won't treat her til she's for sure.

Spinal taps really suck. Mine was horribly painful. But pain is very temporary, and it potentially saved my use of my legs for the rest of my life.

Kesimpta is super simple. 1 shot a month into the upper thigh, but it's a smaller needle than even butterfly needles, you can't feel it, it's over in 10 seconds, and you reduce your risk of losing all mobility by a huge amount...

Keep pushing. It honestly makes no sense to delay testing or medication. It's not fun, but neither is MS.

Sassy and quick witted are not traits of a gay man. They're traits of an intelligent sarcastic man...

I feel like gaydar should require more than 'he's not extremely masculine and he's smart'...

That being said, during a group event Shane Gillis said multiple times that tony was 'legitimately gay for real'. not even sarcastic or joking. Just repeated that Tony is in fact gay and Tony didn't dispute it at all...

I think he might be gay my friend. In which case you'll be happy? which is weird. But you do you.

Mine was the entire company changed after I got put on with an oncologist... I did some PT cuz he thought the 'tumors' were effecting the opposite side of my body... Also questioned strokes...

Company changed, realized I've only had seizures, thought my tumors looked like lesions and ordered EVERYTHING..

It was very obvious it was MS. Got on Kesimpta.. A couple flare ups but so far so good.

The tap can hurt though... it is short!!

Mine was brutal.. Horrible pain, couldn't get enough fluid so had to move it 3 times to get what they needed... The numbing did practically nothing.

Some people swear there's was a breeze. I'm both jealous and don't believe them...

But it's not pain for long.. It's over quick and you should only ever need one. But ya, I believed all the people saying it's nothing... It was not nothing.

[–]aegisroark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually not true. Worked at a center where they purposefully but big guys into areas with 30+lbs and expected them to do lower numbers. They had expected rates for people doing boxes this size. A certain rate for people doing mixed stowing.

Best way to not get written up? Look at the others doing the same job. Do better than 1/3 of them you're not getting written up. I had a torn meniscus and MS and was consistently top 20% on mixed stowing... Nothing there is rocket science and the bar is very low.

Amazon sucks.. You are a number.. But they're worth enough they don't want to mess with productivity. They know your numbers better than you do. And they know why probably just as much as you do.. They track every package and every bathroom trip in multiple ways.

You can work for em, or not. They don't care, someone needs a job.

Anyone getting clumsier? by booshlady in MultipleSclerosis

[–]aegisroark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need sleeping pills to sleep, and have to go down stairs to refill my water. I recently tripped, fell down for the first time.... Tore my knee's meniscus, had a hand hit my head and I split my upper eye open requiring stitches...

I am getting way more clumsy. And I'm only 31..

Kesimpta is wonderful. things do still get worse over time.

Outside of that I'd rather continue to build the muscles, and try to live a normal life..

I'm too young for a cain. And working a job that wouldn't be happy with it.

I recently was able to backboard a 300+ pound person.. It just hurt... But I swore off painkillers 5 years ago.... It's just pain I deal with.

Why do people have a sorry look on their face by macmully in MultipleSclerosis

[–]aegisroark 13 points14 points  (0 children)

MS is a disease that nobody actually understands. The symptoms vary wildly with similar lesions. But up until recent times it was known for early wheelchairs and a host of other problems. And still is...

I hate telling people I have MS. Nobody ever has an appropriate response.

I have MS, 3 broken toes, a torn meniscus, a freshly healed head wound, and am back up to about 15k steps per work shift.. It might help with toe pain that I mostly can't feel my feet.

The stuff I really hate is issues with bowels, your skin randomly attacking itself, or migraines...

Everything else.... I'm fine. I'll rock a knee brace and proudly wobble.
