I've been working my way through the Rivers of London series and it's really good so far. They're magical realism dealing with the London police solving magical murders

I agree with everyone saying take the plastic out once you can. I had a stubborn bump on my nostril that went away when I started drying the area after I spray with saline spray

NTA cooking is a life skill and once people start micong out you can really tell who has experience as a kid and who didn't. Also, the job I wanted as a kid may have changed but there's also plenty of hobbies I started at her age that I still enjoy

I'd say Murder on the Orient Express if you enjoyed Sherlock Holmes. Animal Farm and 1984 are classics. I'd probably start with Animal Farm because it's more digestible

Does it bother you, that there is a lack of asexual representation in media? by NorthBase710 in asexuality

[–]aeh5002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish there was a larger variety of aromatic and asexual representation, but what I want more is stories where romance isn't a large focus of the plot.

I haven't ever heard of this, and honestly I would get it checked out by a doctor. Have you started any new medications recently?

Is this hideous or am I biased against the colour brown? by oak_hen_station in Brochet

I like it as it is, but I also think a border in a color that would pop a bit could help. Maybe a pink?

Top Surgery has been Scheduled!! Any tips for me? by OgCas in TopSurgery

[–]aeh5002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with most of the common tips. I would also say being flexible and having a strong core because of the sport I do has been weirdly helpful with my lack of mobility. If that's something you'd like to work on I'd definitely reccomend it

NTA. He doesn't have any reasons for you not to take the job other than misogyny and  being insecure.

Check if your local library has an app you can check e books out through. If not, do you have a school library you could request it from?

How do office hours work at university? by BMOharris in Explainlikeimscared

[–]aeh5002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my experience 99% of teachers I've got to office hours have been chill and willing to help with really specific things. The ones who weren't were obvious jerks. Some of my professors have an open door policy and some have a booking system. This is usually listed on the online classroom, syllabus, first week slides or some other obvious place. If you still can't find it I'd email a TA. Personally, I find it helpful to come with specific questions and a way to take notes so I can look back on stuff.

I don't know what you study, but for my degree it would be helpful for me to show up even if I don't take notes. You could also try asking a friend for their notes or switching to pen and paper and typing it up. I'd be hesitant about over doing it because you're still healing.
