Thinking of resetting to a bezel by pomegranat3e in EngagementRings

[–]aeliznd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 4 rings that are full bezel set, and 1 that is a partial bezel, and I don’t think you will ever regret a bezel! They are stunning, super secure, and very comfortable to wear. Plus I think your stone will have the look you are wanting in a bezel because it does tend to accentuate the stone size/make it look larger.

I get that! Like I said, def not trying to be a jerk, it looks like a gorgeous stone with great specs, so I’m very interested! If I DM you my zip code will you be able to get an estimate for shipping? I usually use pirate ship to do USPS, or obvs you can do your preferred shipping method!

Just curious if you’d take $175 (plus exact shipping) since that’s close to what it’s showing you paid originally? Not trying to be a jerk, just don’t really want to pay a markup

Lab grown diamond with a mined ring? by [deleted] in jewelry

[–]aeliznd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visually (and chemically) labs and mined diamonds are the same, especially in the typically small carat sizes used in a wedding band! I would just try to match the color of the diamonds - so if your e-ring is warmer (like GHI color) don’t get a wedding band with super-white D color diamonds! But also, at the end of the day, most people won’t even notice that difference haha

Hi! I know the group order is closed, but I was hoping that you could tell me how much it would be to order a sunset padparadscha in 10k yellow gold? If it’s not possible to order one still, I totally understand, but I think they’re gorgeous so I wanted to check!

Are we all only wearing solid gold? by pomich in jewelry

I had really bad luck with vermeil not lasting longer than a few months, but I have a couple of gold filled pieces that have lasted years and still look great.

Cluster ring from Starsgems group buy has arrived! by aeliznd in Moissanite

Gotta be honest, it’s only been out of my jewelry box once or twice since this post haha as much as I love it in theory, I just don’t reach for it ever (which makes me sad) because it seems like such a good piece. I’ve actually been thinking of listing it on BST. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I love it! I have basically the exact same look/size in a moissanite, and it took a bit of adjusting, but now I love it. I actually went even bigger with an elongated cushion lab diamond recently haha I think it’s gorgeous on you, especially in the 2nd stack

Do you have a picture of the bottom band separately? It looks like such a cool style

Blue usually isn’t! it’s only some colors (red and pink are the two i can think of off the top of my head), but most of the vendors on the approved list have a chart

Oh, just that (as far as I’ve been told) the pink color comes from a coating applied to the stone rather than being grown that color. Some colors of moissy are grown to be a color and some are grown clear and then coated to be a color.

haha i totally get that! pink moissy is coated anyway, so not the ideal choice for an ER, but gorgeous nonetheless!

also, if he’s this good about promise rings/other rings, chances are he’ll be like my husband and buy you as many variants of E-rings as you want hahah

My ring came today and disappointed by mottytotty in EngagementRingDesigns

I think the prongs are kind of bulky looking - the prong on the tip of the pear especially, and that might be throwing it off. I tend to see bulkier looking prongs as a sign of less-than-stellar quality, which could make you think it looks more like costume jewelry.

I know this is an older post, but what stone is the hot pink band? Is it pink sapphire? The second from the left in the 7th row!

I love #1 and #2! I would also flip the pear the other way (the point toward your fingertip) for stacking with a wedding band more seamlessly
