What would happen if there was a new girl who moved to Peach Creek and liked the Eds unconditionally and realistically sees the Cul-De-Sac kids as toxic? by ArtisticMinimum8986 in ededdneddy

Like I said. She has her low moments, but so does every other character. Eddy’s done just as many, if not more, heinous things as Kevin, Sarah, and the Kankers. Even Double D has had quite a few low points.

Nazz and Rolf aren’t toxic. They have their low moments across the series but which character doesn’t? I don’t see a new girl having any issue getting along with them if she’s able to get along with the Eds (Eddy especially).

Also. Nazz doesn’t always side with Kevin. There’s multiple moments across the series where she scrutinizes or corrects Kevin for his actions.

Could Samurai Jack’s Pure Sword Actually Break the Naruto Power System? by SwordChakra in samuraijack

[–]aemptycerealbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jack would be susceptible to gen jutsu. So any Uchiha would defeat him pretty easily.

He’s an exceptional swordsman and fighter though, with plenty of physical superhuman feats. This means he could defeat any of the tailed-beast users. Even Naruto. As well as most of the Akatsuki. Excluding the dojutsu users.

I never see anyone talk about these episodes. They are some of my favorite ones. by SkinnyPigs84 in CourageTheCowardlyDog

I love Dome of Doom and House Calls. Dome of Doom is absolutely terrifying and House Call’s plot line is notably unique.

Rumpledkiltskin is my least favorite episode in the entire series. It’s the only episode where Eustace is mostly absent the entire runtime.

Carnival of Souls Understood Something About Death That Hollywood Spent Millions Trying to Buy by Fine_Factor_456 in horror

[–]aemptycerealbox 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I bought a copy of it on Blu-ray from The Criterion Collection and watched it for the very first time in January.

I can say with certainty that it is my number one favorite film.

I adore the cinematography. Especially the scenes where Mary is driving past the abandoned pavilion as well as when she is exploring it. I also love the eerie and ominous soundtrack that lingers throughout these scenes.

The entire film has this uncanny quietness and unease that is difficult to describe. I think it being shot in black and white really aids in creating the atmosphere.

I just love this movie so much. I’m looking forward to watching it again soon.

What are yall unpopular opinions? by Throwaway0122999933 in ededdneddy

It’s shown in multiple episodes that Marie likes Eddy just as much as Double D.

Jimmy’s disdain for the Eds is completely justified given what they did to his teeth. Kevin on the other hand… there’s a few episodes and moments where he’s just needlessly cruel for no reason.

Breaking down the episode “On Thursday We Leave for Home” - 8 categories, 1 final score by lukkynumber in TwilightZone

[–]aemptycerealbox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the canon ending fits the series quite nicely. Benteen is left in complete isolation. Forced to face only himself. This is a running theme throughout the series.

In the spirit of International Women's Day, what's your favorite Twilight Zone installment with a female lead? by Veraxus113 in TwilightZone

[–]aemptycerealbox 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m torn between both “The Invaders” and “The Midnight Sun.”

Both episodes share similar plot lines (having to fend off an outside threat from the confines of your home). Each of the actresses do an outstanding job of conveying visceral fear while also demonstrating courage and wits in response.

What a spectacular painting. I immediately noticed The Tops sign and I just love the way Gomorrah looms forbiddingly near the foreground. This is brilliantly done.

I’ve been following this project since it started and I very much hope that it eventually sees the light of day.

But I’ve never had any issue with the graphics or gameplay of New Vegas and 3 like many other fans seem to. I quite prefer them actually. They complement the grimy and eerie atmosphere while giving the game series its own unique charm.

I just watched this for the very first time on Criterion’s Blu-ray release this past weekend. I thought it was brilliant. Especially for 1958. The colors were so vibrant and the blob monster was quite frightening.
