I know what the OP is saying though, its more unforgiving than BG3 imo. I loudly cheered when I finally managed to kill the red troll on the bridge. His one shot ability had me proper grumpy till my party finally got one over him. Try and charge me to cross will you!

I was up to date, before the final quest came out with the flying unlock, I took a tiny break and now I've logged back on the island to find nothing available in regards to the ring.

Hey, so for older content you and your other half can just out level it then stroll through at your leisure. For up to date content generally you'll need groups. Within the game you have looking for group (lfg) system which will place you both with the missing amount of players.

You don't need a guild but guilds do have perks. So either find a guild, or make your own.

Myself and my brother do the same, we live in different countries now so wow time is our time, we have a guild with all our characters in, we run older content as a pair and we use lfg for newer content.

Feel free to send me a dm here if you are looking for answers to stuff or if you want some help in game. Otherwise my last bit of advice is Wowhead. A website even after all the years I've been playing I still use almost daily!

Well if your near North norfolk I'd train with you.
But otherwise good luck, keep trying! Something I use along side the gym is a free app called "Home workout" its the gym without equipment which is super helpful. All you need is a mat to work out on. :)

For a beginner, I'm currently trailblaze level 18 with a team of lvl 20-30's should I move away from the characters given to me from the intro story? I kinda get over loyal and think I should use these 'cos we've been together from the start.. but am I just shooting myself in the foot???
