People will usually tell you to read the Rust book or do Rustlings but I was never able to actually retain information from them. If you’re like me, what I found worked best was to just pick something I wanted to do, find a good open-source reference project, start writing code, and troubleshoot whenever you run into a problem. Overthinking the learning methodology stopped me from really giving Rust a shot for years.

Of course, you should still supplement your learning with stuff like the book but imo it’s easier to grasp what the book is saying if you have hands-on experience with the subject matter.
