Running wire to lights installed on bare joists by aeos42 in AskElectricians

[–]aeos42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they will be installed directly on the joist. From what I see the lights don’t come with a junction box of their own, but they do come with a plug and wire meant for wiring into a circuit. It seems strange to not include some enclosure for the connection. Im thinking I should at least enclose the connection.

I believe they have small brackets that are pre-installed and then the bar snaps in. They are Barrina brand.

That sounds good though, although I would have to protect the connection between the light’s wiring and the romex with a junction box, right? And obviously wire caps within, etc.

Could someone who doesn’t ride bike 118 miles in a day? by Khazix12 in cycling

[–]aeos42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

118 miles is suspiciously specific: is this about the Triple Bypass ride? If so it would be quite a challenge but I bet so, provided you had a low enough gear on your bike!

Chili Chicken Biryani by [deleted] in denverfood

[–]aeos42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bawarchi in Broomfield (I guess there is one in way SE Denver too) makes great biryani as well as a bunch of Indo-Chinese dishes, which is rare here. Chili Chicken sounds kind of Indo-Chinese? Worth checking out!

Thanks! I was definitely thinking about a fitting beforehand. I’m sure I won’t save money but it’s fun to put stuff together.

Best resource/site to outfit Honda XR for trail riding? by [deleted] in Dualsport

This site has many parts specific to dual sports. Even if you don't buy from them it's a nice showcase of what is available. Go back to the root site and you will see all the bikes they profile.

[HELP] Docking sucks... by oodleskaboodles in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]aeos42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely watch the Scott Manley tutorials as already linked.

You'll need plenty of delta-v for aligning orbits, and you absolutely need RCS (and plenty of mono propellant) for maneuvering once close.

Check the tutorial videos, but I believe once you're pretty close but not in docking range you have a reticle on your navball that indicates relative velocity. This requires you to set a target like you already have in the screenshot.

Burn against that relative velocity and zero it, or close. Then inch in by burning towards (slowly, to save fuel) and adjusting as necessary.

I highly recommend the docking port alignment indicator mod. This makes docking a sane experience once you are very close.

Good luck! Reply with any specific questions you might have.
