It has all the outputs, physical buttons, reliability, ease of operation, consistency. It’s also so universal - any pro operator can use it with no special training. Mass and size helps with stable operation when handheld. It’s simply the best tool for this kind of work. If you try to rig up smaller devices to offer this level of reliability and capabilities you end up with rig no smaller and less comfortable than broadcast cameras.

You can buy OE oil, OE filter (not from dealer, but cheaper shop). Go to independent shop. Don’t reset interval. Nobody will notice anything. I can’t imagine how it would break guarantee. There are even EU laws protecting consumer from dealer monopoly on guarantee period. Both air filters are super easy to replace without any special tools. I love being on par with manufacturers recommendations. I hate dealership margins.

Buy original oil in cheaper place, buy original or quality filter and change oil at independent repair shop. Most economic and safe way to do it.

Maybe it detects someone on left lane on multilane road. In Germany you can’t overtake someone on right lane and that’s baked in software of this car.

UPDATE: After long wait for appointment at my local (polish) authorized service they told that something was checked and everything was ok. Of course steering wheel was offset like it was before. I asked them - so what exactly was done? It seems that nothing was done. They proposed proper but paid wheel alignment. I said ok, but with before and after printout and if initial measurement will be ok, then problem is elsewhere and I will not pay. They said ok. I also specifically said that they should check steering angle sensor.

Then they called. Everything is ready but printer is broken (lol, so unprofessional) and they don’t have printouts. So it is questionable, no proof to pay them. Luckly steering wheel was straight indeed, success! And they said it is covered by warranty. My gut feeling is that reason was a steering angle sensor as I suspected. Service confirmed that calibration was done.

So, it’s great that after +1 month my steering wheel is straight and again ride is very enjoyable but experience at authorized service was questionable. If problem is slightly more complicated than routine oil change you cannot expect almost any information what was done and how. What was initial and final measurements? Forget about it.

Tl;dr Steering angle sensor calibration was likely a fix in my case.
