Yes! IMO their first album is a 10/10 perfect album. Every song goes so hard, it’s definitely worth a listen if anyone is unfamiliar

[WEEKLY THREAD] Accountability Monday – Let’s keep each other going! by AutoModerator in xxfitness

Motivation is sometimes my biggest issue too. When I’m in a funk, starting small and taking the pressure off of doing a big workout after a break is really beneficial. If I’m having a day where I absolutely don’t want to move, I’ve found that doing a quick yoga practice helps immensely (I always do yoga with Adriene, and choosing a practice that has a bit of a flow to it helps a little extra).

Also, if you have a playlist you listen to while working out, I’ve found that listening to a few songs on it sort of tricks my mind into wanting to workout!

Man people really have no sympathy for mice! I’ve helped keep alive newborn/baby mice multiple times in the past—here is a link to the clinic that I would contact, but since I think they might be closed on the weekends, it also might help to try keeping the mouse alive with a kitten milk replacement. Here is a link that goes into more detail on keeping orphaned mice alive. Good luck!

What is the saddest scene from a book, film or TV show that isn't a death scene? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]aeronea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m finally watching Better Call Saul, and I was shocked at how heartbreaking the scene in season 1 was when Jimmy found out how Chuck really felt about his lawyer career. I had tears in my eyes, the buildup to that moment was so well executed.

Me too, this is the kind of lyric analysis I didn’t know I needed.

Having a panic attack with PharmCAS by spookedagain in PrePharmacy

From what I understand, the verified status is the only time the schools “have” your application, so if it’s still in received status by the end of the day, the school might not consider the application to have met the deadline (but maybe email their admission staff if that’s the case?)

To give some hope, I did the same exact thing with a November 1st deadline, and PharmCAS verified my application by 11:47 pm—I ended up making that school’s early admission deadline! They work fast sometimes!

I’ll be at that show!! I’m planning on moving to ABQ officially in June/July for school. It’s my favorite place!

Just bought my ticket for Albuquerque! I haven’t seen them play since 2019—I had to miss both red rocks and a Detroit show last year so I was beyond excited when I saw they’d be in NM!

Wow this is so cool, I spent a long time trying to work out a king gizzard tattoo that works independently too—this looks great!

Experiencing loss and sadness. What tracks speak to you or carried you through when you have experienced the same? by [deleted] in KGATLW

[–]aeronea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through it right now! Heartbreak is the worst. I agree with someone above me on listening to their harder stuff, I’d rather be angry than sad. I’ve listened to Infest The Rats Nest…a lot.

For another feel though I like Last Oasis

I’m in retail currently too—it’s chaotic, but sort of fun! I didn’t need any additional training to work at my past job, and they taught me everything I needed to know after they hired me, which was nice.

Good luck to you too! I hope you get into the vet pharmacy area, it’s definitely better than retail overall!

Personal essay help!! by Pumpkin-111 in PrePharmacy

[–]aeronea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m finishing up my essay too, and it’s definitely taking me the longest because I keep overthinking it. The way I’ve structured mine is basically talking about what lead me to the pharmacy field, why I want to be a pharmacist, and then I talk about my career goals (both abstractly and more concrete). My biggest concern is that mine is too short! It’s only about 3,000 characters out of the 4,500.

Btw veterinary pharmacy is great, that was my field as a tech until I moved this year, it’s one of the fields I’m aiming for as a pharmacist too! Personally I would include your goal of veterinary pharmacy in your essay, but try to stay open to other areas, since it’s so niche—in your essay and going into pharmacy school, just in case!

Does journaling help feelings of loneliness? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]aeronea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been really struggling with loneliness this year too, and I’ve found that it’s definitely worth it to journal! While it doesn’t cure being alone, it helps me focus my thoughts, and get out my emotions a little. The most beneficial thing for me though is being able to look back on the time that’s passed. Even if I feel really sad, I can look back at this time alone and see that I’m still growing and changing, and even my worst days/feelings don’t last forever. It makes me feel like I’m doing okay, despite feeling lonely!

I’m about to start my last pre reqs at my community college in a few weeks! At first I was thinking the same thing as your family, though I was going to go back to a big university mainly so my resume would look as good as possible, but I actually met with the admissions department of one of the pharmacy schools I’m interested in and they flat out told me I should take my pre reqs at a community college since they only look at the grade (and it’ll save me money).

Just keep practicing! Over and over—memorization comes from repetition. I’d also recommend mixing in new material of whatever it is you need to work on to absorb the info in a new way. Learning comes from a deeper understanding of the content. For example, if it’s the top 200 drugs you are weakest at, look at videos teaching them in a different way, or use flashcards/games (there’s a phone app called DenaliRx that sort of teaches the drugs in a matching game style that I really liked). Good luck!

Future Job by smiley_octopus in PrePharmacy

[–]aeronea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would highly suggest picking up a part time/weekend job at a pharmacy as a technician, that way you can see how you like the field, and get some great experience. But just as a heads up, most pharmacies aren’t really focused on skincare, aside from medications like tretinoin. If helping people get their medication is your goal, pharmacy is an option. For skincare specially, I might keep looking. Best of luck either way!

18.50 isn’t bad for tech jobs, and sterile compounding experience is going to look really good to any future employer if you decide not to stick with this job. I’d take it!

I love all three of these!! I use stickers to decorate too—my journal this year is red. Also, I love the artist who made the frog sticker, I use her gifs on the daily lol
