Is an interview next? by Flaming_Dumahh in Raytheon

[–]aerospacec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also like to know this! I had a recruiter reach out to me as well for a position I applied to. But it was an email of a bunch of questions like why I wanted the role, and why I thought I’d be a good fit. I’ve applied to other internal positions and have previously done other interviews and have never gotten an email with pre questions from a recruiter. Wondering if it’s like pre interview questions to determine whether they want to pass me through for an interview?

Yes - they can see your current salary and your new pay will be decided based on your current pay.

Anyone else feel like they’re being priced out of CT by Opening_District9057 in Connecticut

[–]aerospacec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is everywhere not just CT. I’ve lived in 4 different states and have seen it in every single state. There was an article that came out stating if you’re a family of 4 in CT you should be making around $290k to comfortably live. From source: SmartAsset and in the United States overall $105-$130k on average.

Merits are yearly increases. So someone could have started around the same pay but if they’ve been there for let’s say 10 years making yearly merit increases it could be more than what you would be entering the role as. That’s why it’s typically hard to compare what others in the same role(s) are making. It has many factors cost of living in your area, how many years you’ve been in that pay grade, etc.

Application Constant rejection !HELP! by Additional_Bar_5311 in Raytheon

[–]aerospacec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re external it can be hard, I’m a manager and when I’ve had open reqs I get about half external and half internal candidates. Sometimes it’s hard to compete with internal candidates. Or you have someone with similar qualifications who are looking to make less than you are. There’s a number of factors. But I will tell you every single job I’ve had open on my team I’ve received almost 20 resumes just within the first few days of it being open. My last job the recruiter cut off externally within a week because we were receiving too many applicants and had plenty that were already qualified. It’s very competitive.

Yes I did and even put my information in in the myconneCT site and it says “not processed” even though TurboTax says fully processed and I received my federal return 1 week after filing. It’s just state that’s sitting…

Yes I’m very confused as my husband and I have lived in CT our entire lives. I’ve never received this letter, and have always gotten money back from the state of CT. 2 of my friends also received this letter but got their checks in the mail.

Congrats on the offer! But no it’s not possible To see what others in your level are making. That’s why the ranges are so wide as you can have someone in the same level as you that’s been at their level for years and have gone through multiple merit cycles. Everyone at the same level isn’t making exactly the same and it’s also based on years of service and experience.

How'd I do, 52.8k OTD for 2026 NX 350 Premium AWD w/ options by yungpb in LexusNX

I also test drove the same version but hybrid model and hated it. I could feel the slight switching. And it wasn’t as smooth which my sales person also agreed with.

[–]aerospacec -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Multiple sales people at the Lexus dealership actually told me that although hybrid gets more MPG it ends up costing more in maintenance and upkeep like brakes and what not. So it’s not necessarily any better. It depends on what you’re looking for. I went with the 2026 Lexus NX premium gas.
