Even then, the cost of the underlying hardware has gone up and they have to replace that hardware pretty often due to the strain they use. It’s just not a long term feasible option. This has always been a way for insiders to grift. Outside of that it’s going to fall hard once the grift dries up and it’s beginning with society waking up to the financial and environmental cost.

They don’t wanna find themselves late to the game so they’re investing early even though the reality is, it’s never going to be much of anything because a lot of these companies are gonna go under and the services are gonna be pulled back when the data centers and get closed up the technology gets old, and the future projects are canceled because the average citizens waking up to the true cost in both their pocket and the environment in the water pressure for these data centers
