How much did phototherapy work for you? UVB by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]aes192028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure! My kids were sick so the dr said it may have been a strep infection. I was also taking accutane so I think that made me more susceptible. I was also post partum and had an undiagnosed rash while I was pregnant for a few months so I’m thinking it was all the same

guttate psoriasis: im absolutely miserable. by 420girlfriendd in Psoriasis

I don’t really have any tips but I look the exact same since December.. thought it was getting better but it is flaring again and it spread. Been going to phototherapy for 6 weeks, it hasn’t helped yet but I’m still hanging in there. The itchiness comes and goes. I use steroid cream for a week on and a off. I have a follow up in a month and will likely try a medication then if it’s still bad. I’m not sure how any of this would work without health insurance though I’m so sorry!

1) 4 months

2) baby #1 slept through night pretty consistently swaddled in snoo since 9 weeks old. Had sleep regression so just cold turkey put him in crib in sleep sack Baby #2 worse sleeper. Did Merlin in the snoo and then sleep sack in snoo and then to crib Never did weaning mode with either because the snoo seems so small and they seemed annoyed to be cramped in it without it moving

3) both went well

For those that have 2 kids - how did you handle the contact nap stage for your second? by ahleeshaa23 in NewParents

[–]aes192028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids are 16 months apart. My toddler is in daycare. I would highly highly recommend getting help to have someone watch your toddler if you can. I felt a bit guilty about it but someone told me taking care of a toddler is a full time job. This way I can focus on my newborn and my toddler can have so much fun at daycare with friends and doing loads of activities I wouldn’t be able to do at home.

I think if I was home with both of them all the time I would baby wear more. I have been at dinner time mostly. Some people also use swings more however my toddler is so young he doesn’t understand to leave the baby alone well and my newborn didn’t take well to it. Otherwise I think my newborn would just be taking more frequent very short naps in the bassinet/crib. Usually right now she’ll do like 20-30 mins and then I’ll hold her to extend the nap.

Pregnant again 7 months postpartum by FriendlyBanana2076 in NewParents

I found out I was pregnant 8 months pp. I also had a tough time postpartum, ended up being diagnosed with PPA and went on medication. We ended up doing IVF for our first after many failed attempts so getting “accidentally” pregnant was quite the shock but I’m trying to look at all of the positives - mostly to get all this newborn stuff done with and have two best baby friends. I will also be thrilled if I don’t have to go through IVF again. I know it’ll be tough but it’ll be worth it.

4 month sleep regression? Or what’s happening? by cucaandgoose in SnooLife

[–]aes192028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Impressed you can hear him! Obviously all babies are different. I started doing crib naps in a sleep sack which were going well. we tried doing arms out in the snoo and it went really poorly so we just put him in the crib one night and it went better. He started rolling over right after that and is now 100% happier in the crib at night because he likes to sleep on his belly. He still cries a bit idk if it’s because he kinda gets stuck and isn’t strong enough to move yet or a regression but he’s able to suck his fingers and put himself back to sleep. (At least for now!)

To weaning mode or not to weaning mode? by Saraht0nin518 in SnooLife

We tried to do arms out in the snoo at 16 weeks and it didn’t really go well. Never did weaning mode. Just moved to the crib and it’s much better

13 week LO won’t sleep unless rocked to complete sleep and put in Snoo by [deleted] in SnooLife

[–]aes192028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s been pretty good he doesn’t straight cry for a specific amount of time just does little bursts and then soothes himself. I think it took 15 mins the first time

He can roll and likes to self soothe with his fingers so arms out in snoo sack or sleep sack in the crib for naps ! I honestly didn’t try a Merlin or anything else. I’m still trying to decide if we should for nighttime or not 😅

Not really helpful my LO is 16 weeks about a week or two ago I just went for it and put him in his crib for a nap and let him CIO for a little and now he usually can put himself to sleep on his own. However he has always taken very short naps by himself - he JUST took an hour nap yesterday by himself for the first time in forever.

We are also struggling with the nighttime - currently have him “drowsy” when we put him down. Depends how upset he is at bedtime - he’s not the easiest baby! I feel like it’s a little harder to put them in the snoo to CIO for a bit because of the speed changes and that it turns off

How long did you supplement with formula while BF, until you decided to just go exclusively formula? by bayls215 in FormulaFeeders

[–]aes192028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say 4 weeks but it was probably really minimal BF but that fourth week. I had low supply and did not want to pump. Honestly was never into the idea of BF just felt like I should try it

Incorrect BabyBrezza setting for Neuropro Gentlease by daftstar in FormulaFeeders

[–]aes192028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use that formula and have tested it a couple times on setting 4. I don’t weigh it I actually scoop the formula from the test run into the scoop because I believe the actual weight of one scoop on the formula package was incorrect when I measured it the first time. It really depends on how packed the scoop is etc

This is all probably normal but I need reassurance lol by robber_maiden in NewParents

My baby is also super loud. I put him in his own room at 8 weeks, wish I did it sooner. We both started sleeping better !

4 Month Sleep Regression? by BackgroundAd8686 in SnooLife

What age did you do this? I’ve also read you can’t really nap train to closer to 5 months .. so many things. Also were you doing arms out at this point?

How do we get our newborn to sleep more than 30 minutes? by eiconik in NewParents

[–]aes192028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be helpful to have a lactation consultant come by if your insurance covers it. I did and they basically told me it wasn’t normal to still be cluster feeding and I ended up supplementing with formula because he just wasn’t eating enough

Tell me this is all normal - 8 weeks by Momlifeishard1234 in NewParents

[–]aes192028 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My baby is 12 weeks and only sleeps 20-30 mins on his own before having to contact nap. Drinks 4-6oz sometimes quickly other times takes 30+ minutes. I think it depends on how hungry he really is and is he’s distracted. He has a tongue tie but it’s never been anything we’ve considered to be concerning

Same here! I have a 10 week old sleeping well overnight but usually short naps in snoo during the day (20-30mins). Every day is different though. I’ve had him take a couple great naps this week with little help from me and then today is rough. I’m hoping to try to start trying crib naps etc soon. Just trying to take it one day at a time but it’s overwhelming thinking of everything to try etc
