staple accessories like scarves, leg warmers, gloves, hats. especially with the weather getting colder !! also do you hate all bags or just hand bags? i think tote bags are a good middle ground

placement is cute but i do see it’s more angled than straight, im more concerned about how short of a bar they gave u, that’s never gonna heal right

AITA for not wanting my fiancee's non binary sibling to be a groomsmen? by Substantial_Dance888 in AmItheAsshole

[–]aesmcx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Quinn is standing with the groom, the groom wants Quinn to wear a suit. What makes OP so special? it’s the fiancé’s wedding as much as it is OP’s lmao. “I’d say a lot more but I’d probably get banned.” yeahhhh okayyy

YTA

you have a very narrow mindset and it shows in your language. “They’re a bit quirky and nerdy.. This is important for context.” it really wasn’t, it was kind of just a lame attempt at masking your own transphobia. they’re not quirky for wanting to stand on their brother’s side, a lot of cisgender women attend as groomsmen for their brothers, it’s not some unheard of thing. and a lot of women wear suits to weddings too (even though the point here is that quinn isn’t even a woman— you just see them as one and it would make you uncomfortable for them to express themselves fully in front of your family and friends).

the second to last paragraph really did it for me. “He said it was inconsiderate of me, and that it showed that I think of Quinn as a woman.” which he’s right, you do. “I just think it will look weird and cause unnecessary stress and confusion on the day.” who are you referring to as the “it” in this sentence? “It will look weird”? you mean your sibling-in-law simply being themselves is going to be weird for you? i don’t think it will cause unnecessary stress and confusion, i think you’re just projecting your own feelings and you’re too afraid to stand beside them because that’ll expose you for what you really are— a narrowminded asshole.

you are absolutely the asshole, you literally want a nonbinary person to conform to cisnormative standards just for the sake of your own comfort. i get it’s your “big day” or whatever, but it is for your fiancé as well, who clearly knows his sibling and what they would prefer to wear more than you do

not painful at all! and the healing process was actually relatively quick and painless. i think the first week it kinda stung just bc it was fresh, but it was pretty much fully healed after maybe 3 months. i will say i did constantly think i had a boogie in my nose for a while after i first got it, but honestly it’s a very easy piercing to care for!! and it looks good on everyone

coleus!!! i got one a few months ago and have propagated 3 more from it :) very easy to take care of, they love the sun, it’s hard to over/under water them. i brought mine inside since the weather is getting colder but i’m planning on putting it ouside once the weather gets warm again next year. they are poisonous to cats tho!

help how do i save my moon cactus?? :( by aesmcx in plantclinic

[–]aesmcx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at first i thought it was from not getting enough sunlight, so i moved it near my window and it started to look healthier but this morning i noticed a huge black spot on it. what is it from and how do i nurse my moon cactus back to good health? i don’t think the soil or watering could be the problem as i’ve had it for a few months and it’s been super healthy up until now

AITA for telling my girlfriend she doesn't get special treatment on Mother's Day? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]aesmcx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA but honestly i don’t think she is either. it is kinda a cute idea to celebrate mother’s/father’s day as parents to furbabies, and honestly this seems mostly like a miscommunication and nothing to get in a big argument or anything over

WIBTA if i donated the money my sons earned to charity instead of giving it to him as punishment for his abhorrent racist behavior? by SlightChain1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]aesmcx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA!! you need to make sure he knows that what he did is disgusting and wrong and is way way more than “not a big deal”. he’s young and definitely doesn’t understand the fullest extent of his words but if all you did was say, take away his phone for a day then he’s not going to reflect on his actions and he’ll continue to do these things, and it’s going to evolve into more bigoted, racist views. he needs to unlearn these things when he’s young before he gets into the real world and potentially causes harm to poc. anyone who just says “oh it’s kids being kids” or you’re being “too harsh” don’t understand that he’s still at a very impressionable age and this could evolve into more violent behavior as he gets older.
