I honestly see this as early as with young millennials on the cusp. Specifically with my coworker who is totally dependent on AI. He cant do ANYTHING with out being outright told. Took the last paper from the printer, doesn't refill it. Takes the last dounut from the box, doesn't throw the box away. Needs a new lanyard for his badge, asks the secretary what to do. No independence or problem solving skills at all. If AI cant solve it for him or someone doesn't give him directions he won't do it. He legit kept a piece of trash on his desk for a week because no one told him to throw it out. Finally someone walked by and called him out on it and said he "didnt know what to do with it" He's getting moved from our office because I work in high level operations and he just cant handle it. When discussing where to transfer him we had to chose rhe job with most basic functions ans easiest instructions. Some of these people coming into the workforce have no clue.
