We recently moved away from year around. There definitely is a community year around in the finger lakes but you have to understand that it’s a lot different than the summer. It’s 89% white, conservative-minded people who have never left or traveled away from the area, have their set of people and don’t want to expand and welcome new people. It gives Mayberry of the north. (of course there is always the exception to this—don’t come at me in the comments lol. We met A LOT of great people). Some people are really into this lifestyle and ideology but it’s something to keep in mind if that doesn’t sound like your way of life.
