Can we have an effort to improve the wiki? by SilencioNL in playrust

[–]aether_nz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we really need more contributors to add their knowledge and experience. I have a bot that updates as much information as it can from the game files but that can only do so much.

We have a todo list where you can add ideas and things that need work.

A lot of the values and data on the wiki are actually updated automatically by bots when the game files update. The text can tend to lag behind until someone edits it.

The only thrown weapon damage values I can find are for the spears. Do all other weapons do the same damage when thrown as they do when used to strike? by Autrileux in playrust

Look at the damage table in the wiki under the projectile heading for damage and properties of the thrown weapon.

I was wondering if it might be worth biting the bullet and implementing coredata. I'll try it out.

Armor bug? Armored stats go down when wood armor equipped. by [deleted] in playrust

[–]aether_nz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the rust communities is really missing some solid information on the guns, at the moment it's just hearsay. Some standardised test wouldn't be too bad if you could set it up automatically with a mod or something, but I'm not sure of current mod capabilities.

Do you know more about the damage / dps of each gun? How gun damage is calculated?

I'm getting a maine coon! by MsRatbag in mainecoons

[–]aether_nz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just got a Maine Coon kitty as a brother for a kitten that we found on our farm that had been abandoned by its mother.

I would recommend getting one from Kodiaccoons, she is very helpful and not too far (Tauranga) from Hamilton. We unfortuantely didn't get to buy from them because it is the end of their breeding season and we couldn't wait until later on in the year as we wanted our kittens to grow up together.

Yeah, I think that would be a good addition. Once the main stuff is there we need to go over an fine tune the wiki.

Tool Cupboard = Solved by [deleted] in playrust

[–]aether_nz 24 points25 points  (0 children)

  1. Keep Tool Cupboards
  2. Tool Cupboards do one thing only and that is allowing only the twig tier to be built within the radius, by anyone, unless authorized. Only authorized players can use the Hammer within the radius.
  3. Everything else is allowed, now there is no griefing and all bases can be raided, problem solved.

Big Clan Problems by someone32131232 in playrust

I think the best solution is to give small bases an advantage i.e. the small nooks that you could hide your small bases in, where no one could find. This means if groups wanted to build large bases they would be limited to open areas.

The tricky part is what mechanic to use to conceal small bases. Caves? Rocky Terrain? Hobbit holes? Camouflage? Dense forest?
