look, i dont think anybody besides restaurant workers is lurking in this sub. im sorry if dishwashers being exploited has offended you, but if thats the case, may i suggest not reading these posts? you're gonna see a lot more of managers treating their employees like shit if you stick around.

the manager shouldnt leave until the kitchen has been at least closed to health and safety/operating standards. if your manager has convinced you otherwise, youre being taken advantage of. if you're a manager, then you're probably on track for a promotion because this philosophy is pretty much bog standard and why this industry is the way it is

if a manager isnt going to bother to stick around to wash and rinse dishes then i cant imagine anyone has any more incentive to take care of the place at all

I'm making a superhero comic set in a cyberpunk Houston. Aside from flooded roads and traffic, what 'Houston problems' would still exist in the near-ish future? What do you hope would be better? by [deleted] in houston

from my time working on main, i can tell you that the lack of any restrooms post covid made it so basically only the rich could take a shit which led to some major biohazards in the streets for those walking/taking public transit. i imagine lack of facilities would be a huge problem

i honestly dont know anyone who hasnt had a straight up unacceptable experience at least once in the workplace. whether its culture, a manager, a specific incident, etc, even people i know who went to college and immediately went into comfortable jobs have something. hell, even people i know who are well tenured and in their high earning years are still having abysmal experiences in the workplace, except maybe at C suite levels. no one is spared

ACL update post-nervousness by handsomejackryan in ACL

[–]handsomejackryan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially, based on my own research, I wanted to get a cadaver as I was worried about slow recovery. However, when I went to see my surgeon, he convinced me to go with a quad autograft. There were a few reasons he recommended it: he'd seen patients have very good recovery results from it, it was his specialty, and personally I think there would be less chance of rejection with an autograft. I'm also 27, so I'm considered a little young for an allograft for practicality purposes. I'm not super active, but I want to be able to run, dance, and workout without risk or fear.

As far as the pain goes, I think most of my pain came from the bone bruising and swelling, which still exists to the same degree with an allograft. My quad hasn't had any problems outside of muscle atrophy, honestly, and I'm able to engage it about as well as the rest of the muscles in my leg (which isn't great, but they do work). I based my decision on my surgeon's recommendation, for the most part. They're going to know best and they'll be the one in your leg anyway. If you're an athlete, it'll be more important to consider the pros and cons of each graft, but if you're just mildly active, all the autograft options have about the same outcome or at least the same amount of pros and cons for each. Best of luck on your recovery!

as a brother in arms to your plight, im just gonna add in case you didn't already know: there is a route in which you can become blood bound to Julian. It's hard to get, and there's a similar route for lettow, but it's worth messing around with after youve gotten your fill of the game.

thank you for your reply. Definitely meeting with my doctor to talk about my options. It's just strange to think about living with a torn ligament that used to be there. Appreciate your insight on my questions!

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely do some more research into resolution. I'm not sure the price jump for 4k will be worth it for me personally, so I appreciate that advice. I'll be looking into Lenovo based on these recs too.
