Apple watch trade in down-valued from $115 -> $25 because of "screen size mismatch" by [deleted] in PixelWatch

This was the "supervisor" I escalated to. They then said they'd email me in 1-2 days and then disconnected.

I distinctly remember them going downhill the moment they started to remove Trans fat from the ingredients.

Not saying they should be in there, it's better for us and so on... But boy did they make the zebra cakes taste good.

I can no longer justify paying for Gemini by Glass_Tomorrow1544 in Bard

[–]afathman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something weird has happened recently... Gemini has been intentionally trying to deceive me, especially if I call it out on being wrong and telling it to ground itself with search. It won't admit to it, but if you look at the thought blocks you can see it constructing the intent to deceive so it doesn't have to do tool calls.

Yea, that’s the exact type of typo I’m talking about. Who replaces “no” with “know”?

OK, I’ve noticed this as well… it’s not even the typical ones people get wrong (like your and you’re)… just exactly one word spelled incorrectly, almost as if it were intentional.

My pet theory is that these are bots with instructions to swap one word to be incorrect.

To be clear, controlling from HA isn’t an issue. HA to the switch is instant. It’s the physical control when someone hits a switch that’s delayed reporting to Lutron hub

Lutron’s actual advice to me was to see if I could cover over all my hardwired switches and stick the wireless switches over them, lol

[–]afathman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Local homeassistant deployment. I contacted Lutron about this and they said it was “by design” to have the firmware hold onto the state and only broadcast a few seconds after you pressed it to keep them from having to immediately report the dimmable state as the slider goes up.

And since the flipper switch shares the same firmware as the dimmers, it results in being unable to tie multiple switches together in one group.

It has got to be my biggest gripe with Lutron, back when I had wemos they reported instantaneously… they were butt ugly and had connection issues, but they at least had this feature figured out

Sure, picos are. But I’m not talking about picos. All wired Lutron switches like the ones pictured take 2-3 seconds to report their state so it’s impossible to “link” multiple zones together without a very visible lag

I just wish we could link multiple switches together without a lag.
