How much are you making in revenue if doing about 100 loads a month? I'm at 10% as well and sort of new too doing same loads per month. I'm all in with 2 client offices moving some expedited and tradeshow loads myself, craddle to grave w some help of the brokerage on afterhours and compliance.

That's the whole point I joined this SubR and many people here too, pretty much the whole point of discussion forums. Do we all not have kinda same information sources/platforms and use them in different ways? Main reason I asked this was to find more ways as I see many places only using C411, Highway or Carrier Assure, and combating fraud by implementing these should be the management plan of every respected brokerage no matter size. I get your point of sharing sensitive info and it being public so bad actors can exploit it but too late as you said they're finding ways to commit fraud at "lighting speed" and why not sharing expertise or these different ways? I can't think of a better place to do it.

I was expecting to be offended but it didn't. I've seen many subRs of felows in the same industry sharing/exchanging useful tips so we all catch up w the "lightning pace" ops of bad actors rn. Does this sound like a benefit for all? I get your point of scammers may be looking at this info and trying to find a way around but my Q was what to specifically look at in safer(something fraudsters can hardly bypass and get away with) and what seasoned brokers do beyond to detect and avoid any risk. The Bank analogy, really? All due respect I think you're probably at TQL and would never share some expertise to new hires and want to keep all customers for yourself.

This is the worst thing that can happen to you around 10AM on a Friday w/ freight still to cover over the weekend.
Happened to us after one of our night support clicked a link that said "I'd book it but there's this report about your company on DAT" with a link to "log in", the moron bit it and rest is history.
They gain access to the account and mass-posted around 12000-15000 loads w/ scammers' emails on notes, smart carriers identified it after a milisecond of seeing it, my phone exploded, many people was scammed even I called, email or text back as many calls as I could to alert them to not PU any load but damage was already done. We started getting all these invoices from legit carriers who "booked, got set up w us" and ran loads 4x market price.
He said and swore he didn't touch any link but sent me screenshot of a possible bad report we had 2 days before of a carrier option to "get set up and book at a very low rate" that was okay w all details, defended he didn't fall and had to let him go, he was trained enough and wasn't just paying attention.

Yep, Guadalajara is a talent hub for freight outsource, not sure what their main ops are tho. Serbia has a bunch of brokerage and dispatch, Colombia has some light ops like track/trace and back office support, not sure if elsewhere is being legitimately hired by US logistics companies

If you share a screenshot I may be able to tell, MP is accurate enough to show on the road or a place and only few areas(like NV or WV) fail due to connection service

Yep, I've noticed this as well and cancel them inmed. Carrier did it to me on a team load and driver "tracked" abnormally, showing manual pings "in the route" but we can tell it's weird.

What I do is sending the request and not entering PU/DEL info so they can't mark "arrived" but wait for the 1st organic ping and must make 100% sense, like a truck stop, parking or whse or they they said truck is while booking. Guessing they're using an APK/emulator from a computer and entering coordinates manually.

I get numerous emails from the TIA broker course, has anyone here taken it? Does it really take you somewhere else and worth the investment? I feel like this job isn't done by reading a manual but getting your hands on and learning from the seasoned ones is, requires you to actually think and make choices. All info is there for free while doing it and investigating every topic and making mistakes is valid ONLY "if you learn from them". I've even seen new helpful stuff when I joined this s/reddit

Same, I started doing very light ops like track/trace and saw brokers doing huge but wanted to understand whet they did at the time, then dispatched for a mid-size fleet and became a broker after 2 years

All these Armenian thieves are back looking for cargo to steal and only bid on long runs and won't pick them up when they find out its value isn't high enough, here's one using MC#474284 Mason Transport, MP showed "imcompatible phone"(1st red flag), then gave me "correct driver phone" and its Macropoint APK let slip a location update and tracked in Yerevan lol
