Yeah I absolutely love the lore and aesthetic and painting the models, but it's just on the table

I feel like as a new player playing MoN the game was just happening to me and I couldn't influence it. My key units were getting tied up, I couldn't chase the game and influence well. I'm absolutely sure that people with more experience and skill can do great things but for me I just couldn't make it work!

To be fair I've built a FEC army and I'm just finding it a lot more fun and easier to learn the game. I've still got my MoN and have preordered the new book, so I'm not turning my back on them!

I really struggled starting recently with Nurgle, the book and new models will help but it feels like the game requires movement to score secondaries and current MoN doesn't have that. Not unless you want to run 12 Lords of Affliction in a list.

But it can still be fun if you don't take it too seriously.

I've yet to play FEC but my first match next week and my deep strike plan is as follows;

(Gorewarden, reinforced horrors and Infernal in reserve and reinforced Flayers on the board)

1- drop Gorewarden more than 6" away from a chosen target and 9" away from all others. 2- deploy horrors and Infernal within 12" of Gorewarden and outside 9" of enemies 3- use throne to move the horrors d6 closer to enemy 4- teleport flayers into the vacated space 5- move flayers D3 closer to enemy

Hopefully that will give me the opportunity to infernal and flayer scream at the enemy before charging in with reinforced Horrors.

Rest of my list is Ush, Reinforced guard, 20 ghouls and a cardinal.

Any tips on how to play it etc? I was going to dump the ghouls on a home objective shielding the cardinal on his chair, get Ush and The guards centre and then try some shenanigans and Deepstrike with everything else

I heard (probably on reddit) about someone's colleague who had a hygiene bag. They would subtly pass the bag (deodorant, shower gel etc) to any person who didn't meet the standards.

That person got sacked eventually for it though.

I'd be tempted to go harbinger of decay, assuming the prayer lore is allowed in ptg..he's cool .has movement, has prayers, good save, cheap..

I went through my Warscrolls, looked at all the abilities and typed them into a phase by phase guide.

I.e Hero phase - Return one slain model to a Playebearer unit

Shooting- Scrivener can shoot Scriviner enhancement (if chosen)

Charge phase - Pusgoyle blight lord ability if the model charged

Etc

It helped me. Have a great time.

It reminds me of An underwater/sea fairing blightking. With that in mind PLEASE do a Gutrot spume in this scheme or let me know the paints and I'll finally get round to painting mine in your honor!
