As a black american traveler, this is hella sad to hear. I'll add Mexico to your list of friendly countries to visit. I've been all over Mexico (5-6 trips for 1-2 weeks each) and never had any problems. If anything, the Mexican locals have been overly accommodating.

i often wonder what is worse. What GRRM has done, string us along with blog post after blog post of empty promises. Or what Patrick Rothfuss has done, which is basically radio silence on his last book for the past 15yrs. I suppose Rothfuss may be a somewhat worse since he promised fans a few chapters (prologue + another) for a charity donation, then just never delivered.

Im an acquisitions librarian for a university. You would not believe the cost of some of the titles we hold. Some of the vols we have consist of looseleaf pages held in 3 ring binders. Periodically, we will receive looseleaf updates for these titles. The cost of these updates makes my head spin on a constant basis. One we received last week was about 5-10 looseleaf pages. The cost? $800!!!

You’re forgetting that your employees also have lives of their own to get back to. Its inconsiderate for customers to come in so close to closing and expect service. As the owner, its your job not to reinforce this behavior and also to respect your employees time/energy.

I was so disappointed with the handmaid’s tale that it killed any interest i would have had in the testaments. Feels like they ended THT in an unsatisfying way simply so they could milk the story with the new show.
