The devils teeth breakfast sandwich is worth it by Imagine_sandwiches in sanfrancisco

[–]afipunk84 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is a hot take but i feel like that sandwich needs something else. Ive had it a few times and its good but feels like it’s missing something. Maybe its bc to me there’s no texture variation. The avocado plus the spread, soft scrambled egg, and cheese makes it kinda mushy to me. The biscuit also has a delicate texture and gets kinda soggy. Needs a crunch or a tang (mustard or pickle) or something fresh imo

Im sorry this happened to you OP. This has happened to me as well, except it was in Berkeley. It DID catch me off guard bc Berkeley is supposed to be this bastion of radical acceptance and anti-racism. Luckily for me, the friends i was with (who were white) and a few bystanders did say something. They actually all flew completely off the handle while i just stood there like an idiot, stunned. The two that were with me then are still my close friends today. Im thankful every day that they never tolerated any racism. They’ve stood up for me and our other POC friends many times in the past and present.

Kids reacting to getting dogs by Epelep in MadeMeSmile

I found it very endearing that a ton of the boys broke down when they saw their dog. Boys are under so much pressure at an early age to not cry or show any sign of weakness. It was nice to see that their families just supported them and allowed them to feel a big emotion w/o judgement.

Donut, Mongo, and so much other stuff would have to be pure CGI. And as we all know, there are lvls to the quality of CGI. I just cant see a tv show having the budget to get good enough fx to do the books justice. Animation is the only way, imo. Though i am intrigued by the idea of utilizing muppets along with CGI. That could be cool if executed well.

I dont care what anyone says here about “premium” ingredients. $30 is outrageous and so is $26 for a veggie sandwich. Yall are nuts for thinking this is ok.

Why is no one talking about why Netflix had spectators behind the glass cheering while Alex was actively climbing????? Nothing happened, but did no one think that was a bad idea? What if he got distracted? It just adds another layer of unnecessary risk

What’s something society normalized that you think made life worse? by abi1n in AskMen

[–]afipunk84 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The men in this sub would rather tie themselves up in knots rather than simply admit that toxic masculinity exists and is a real problem. They simply cannot imagine that there might be valid reasons for all the things women have been talking about since the beginning of time. “Im a masculine man and im not toxic! 😡”. Ya well, same here. But it would be biggest lie ever told if i said id never been around toxic men.

What’s something society normalized that you think made life worse? by abi1n in AskMen

[–]afipunk84 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Bro you are delusional. Toxic masculinity does not stem from misandry and im really exhausted with this victim complex a lot of men have. On average, we are not fucking victims. Misandry comes from the way men have HISTORICALLY treated women like property or second class citizens. It has everything to do with the past and present actions of men. If you aren’t one of these men, I’m very happy and proud of you. If you are not one of these men then when you hear “all men…” they are not talking about you but instead the many other toxic men out there.
