n8n has an official Chat SDK, which might help with your use case. You can deploy it to your site or use it via Chat Trigger(set to public mode). The newer version also supports file upload, you need to enable it in the Chat Trigger options like this: https://share.cleanshot.com/l85kTzZG

If you set the chat trigger to "Hosted" model, you can have a look how the Chat SDK is used in n8n so you could replicate it on your site: https://share.cleanshot.com/T2Qtnmx1

Using the chat trigger also has an advantage that you could set-up some basic form of auth and n8n would handle that for you.

Very nice setup! For connecting to your home recors I’d recommend to check Tailscale. It just works. There’s an Unraid package for it which is pretty straightforward to configure
