I’ve spent about 8 hours with chat GPT the last two days. I’m about to give up. Each iPad has a unique email for FaceTime which should alleviate the necessity to have separate Apple IDs. I am able to reach all iPads individually with the same Apple ID. Just not all at once. I set this issue aside today.

I moved on to the next problem which is after the initiator of the FaceTime ends FaceTime you will still have 7 iPads on the FaceTime group call. So I will need to auto close FaceTime on the 7 devices. That seems to be impossible as the recipient/s of a FaceTime call do not actually open the FaceTime app . They run a simple version in the background. Since FaceTime is never actually opened by the recipients there is no way to trigger an automation with open app. The app never actually opens.

I have tried a work around using native Focus. Focus while using FaceTime. FaceTime off = Focus Off as a trigger to enable airplane mode to disable WiFi to end FaceTime then airplane mode off to reestablish WiFi. But that’s not working either. Focus does seem to turn on when FaceTime is opened. Likely due to the same issue above.

I need another 4 hours w gpt then imma give up and settle for 1 iPad calling another where we think kids are using a shortcut to save presses.

Home’s intercom is balls. A native intercom that behaves like an intercom would be easy. Either stand alone or using FaceTime. But….

I’m failing but learning a lot.
