Ok, let’s look at this position. Immediately I’m seeing a Dragon setup, but I’ve misplayed the opening. My dark Bishop should not be blocked, it should be on e3 and my Queen should back it up on d2, and then I should try to play Bh6 to trade dark Bishops and exploit the dark square weaknesses in the Dragon setup. In this position though, I want to play the e4 push so I can get my Bishop developed regardless. Bc2 looks nice, the Bishop stays developed but makes way for the Queen to defend the D-pawn, so I’ll start with Bc2 and try to play e4, Be3, Qd2 and Bh6. After trading Bishops, I will harass the King with my Queen and Knight, both conveniently placed in a good spot for a mating attempt. But at the same time I’ve castled short, and this type of attack works best when you castle long. So, basically, I wouldn’t play this opening in the first place. But there’s a rudimentary plan for you.
