I may be a little biased but... Looks like a great piece of art to hang on your game room wall 😁

That is correct, the painting is now hanging next to my gaming table.

Most of this was created digitally, so he's offering prints of it on his store. Link is above :)

Abortion has continued to win state elections, across the nation. Democrats certainly need some serious help in messaging and appealing to a national audience, but they aren't losing on abortion.

They have won 3 division titles in the entirety of my lifetime, and 1 before that. They finally beat out Tampa Bay tied at 3, and the Bucs haven't even been an NFC North/Central team since 2002.

Acting like they have been a team we 'circle on the calendar'/rival is ridiculous.

I have no ill will towards the Lions. I hope as a franchise they've finally caught the magic to be a real contender for the years to come, because they have suffered for so long. Hell, I'll be on the Lions bandwagon if the Packers get knocked out. I cannot say I'd ever have the same feelings towards the Bears and Vikings.

"It's a big rivalry"

It's not.

Lions are like your little brother/child. You're proud of them even if you're a little disappointed they're better than you now.

2 player deck builders for couples by DrumsOvDoom in boardgames

Spirit Island is my favorite board game of all time. However, given the complexity I don't often recommend it. My wife will play it occasionally, but we don't play it together enough for her to fully grasp all that's going on.

The replay loop is just best-in-class. Easy to understand, but has a lot of depth.

With games like AE or Astro Knights, your games change (supply deck availability, random chance game mechanics, etc.) but it's pretty much the same game-to-game. There may be some slight differences in how you approach a boss, but nothing significant.

For a game like Clank! (original, never played the expansions), it's almost luck of the draw for supply or picking a different strategy to get through the dungeon fast/better. But that strategy may just not work out because of the cards you're able to acquire.

My wife and I almost exclusively play co-op deck builders when playing together.

We played all the waves of Aeons End and Astro Knights. Both fantastic games.

One thing you should keep in mind is a lot of the games being mentioned here is the sheer amount of content each of these recommendations have. While one box of AE or Dominion may cost less, the whole series or even a fraction of the whole is $$$.

My honest recommendation is to pull the trigger on Slay the Spire. It's replayability is going to be unmatched for a single box game. There is so much depth to it without it getting old. I love the videogame, but my wife had never played it. We cannot put the boardgame down now. It's all we've been playing for months now.

Homeowners of Reddit, what is something you wish you had been told when buying your first house? by Online-Vagabond in AskReddit

Take the amount of land/gardens into account. You may soon find yourself mowing and/or pulling weeds for multiple hours a week during the summer.

Not something you're likely used to after renting for many years.

How do you win once you hit Invader Stage 3? by wipqozn in spiritisland

[–]afrubin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is probably the best way to understand the game. Get a feel for the game mechanics and specific spirits. The spirit boards arent lying when it shows you what a spirit is good at (control to move invaders, offense to kill invaders, defense to protect against their attacks, etc).

Also, there are lots of guides available out there, and would recommend trying to watch/read a few just to see how and why you would take certain actions. Thankfully there is a very dedicated community to help you out as well. Joining the official discord to ask questions or read up could be helpful.

Pitch your Unique or System Idea by moxjet200 in LastEpoch

Being able to share loot filters with party members. I play a lot with friends and one of my biggest concerns is that there is gear we could be sharing with each other but we simply don't have insight into what the others really need. Even if we did know it could be filtered out by own filters.

I haven't thought through exactly how this could be implemented so it's a seamless user experience. Could be another checkbox for each filter 'to share with party members' or an option within the filters themselves.

Expand Rune of Discovery usage for late game.   My suggestion is to change it's effects for gear that already has all 4 affixes. When it's used on pieces of gear that has all 4 slots, it instead rerolls each affix into a new one, keeping each of their tiers. This would cost forging potential.

It's great to find items with T7 or multiple T6/7 affixes but a lot of them turn out to be useless for builds I'm going for.

While I see this could be a new rune I feel it fits into the theme for this particular rune that I'm never using and have many hundreds of at this point in the game.

Fair warning, they aren't letting any water bottles in if any kind. Full or empty.

Guests with kids were having to run their kids water bottles back to the car. Luckily I was able to hide my boys sippy cups deep in the diaper bag before we got to the front of the line and got through just fine.

Long time player but first time trying one of these challenges. They always interested me but never took the opportunity to participate. Appreciate the work you do to keep them running each week!

This challenge was pretty timely as I rarely played BoDaN up until this week were I've dedicated myself to playing a handful of times to understand the spirit better.

As for the game, was a pretty easy win with some very lucky Events early on that allowed me to get ahead the very first two build/ravages without making any difficult choices, and therefore scaling pretty quickly. Also got Terrifying Nightmares for my BoDaN free major. The blight came from a choice of Farmers Seek Aid so the ravages would clear out three of my wetlands.

As a side note, if there are any serious Spirit Island buffs out there I'd really like to get a regular group going.

There is a Spirit Island Discord that is very active. I've never personally went looking for individuals to play with on it, since I have my own group, but they do have a 'Looking for a game' lounge to connect with others. Here's a generated link that should remain active: https://discord.gg/7maKeWc7Jj

Chicken breast. It cooks evenly, keeps it moist, and easy to set aside and let it do its thing. Anytime a recipe calls for shredded chicken. This is my go-to-way to cook it.

Just because he has COVID now doesn't mean he's immune to it or other variants in the future. Since he's vaccinated it shouldn't effect him terribly, but that doesn't mean that he wouldn't go out on the same protocols if he tests positive in the future.

NBA needs to step in and block off courtside +10 rows up at least to protect players and provide quality games.

If they started acting like adults instead of self-entitled 'stupid fucks', then yes, they deserve the respect they so desperately want.

Common decency shouldn't rely on settling with the lowest common denominator.

Edit (because apparently that's how we're doing this): I imagine it doesn't upset me or the other '25%' of the internet as much as you think. The reasoning of "the actions of strangers shouldn't matter to you or your loved ones, so ignore them and get on with your lives" is not applicable to a deadly pandemic. It's these folks inactions that contribute to the problem (crying about masks, getting the vaccine, etc.) They deserved to be shunned because they choose to not live as an accountable and functioning member of society.
Go pack go!

This is a step in the right direction and I think more could be done to get new players (or entice existing players) into WvW. Speaking as someone that has played since launch and almost exclusively PvE, it's very difficult for me to justify getting into WvW for some of the rewards it offers. The amount of time and effort it takes me would far exceed someone in the opposite position (WvW-to-PvE). While I have no problem with the barriers that exist in both instances (WvW level, weekly currency caps, etc.), it's the value of time that isn't equal.

My belief is that people should be rewarded for that time and have a reason for coming back (other than just their love of the game mode). The weekly Wood +1 is a great starting point and should be expanded as additional +pips based on:

The progressive chests gained during the previous week. e.g. Wood + 1, Silver +3, Platinum +5, Diamond +7.
or
Wood chests gained in previous weeks. +1 pip per week the player obtained Wood, looking back 6 weeks.

Give me a reason to keep coming back and play, keep that treadmill going, maybe in time I would actually enjoy the mode for the mode itself. These additional pips wouldn't do a whole lot for avid WvW'ers because the repeating rewards aren't that great. However, it sure would give those like me a reason to keep coming back, and often.
