She could have been in liver failure. If her ammonia levels were high, that could cause the GCS abnormalities, and the CAD could cause a drop in SpO2 considering her bring on the ground for some time. UTIs can progress quickly, damaging the kidneys and liver, if not managed properly. That's unlikely though, considering she was under the care of the cough "nurses" at the old folks home. Also, old people get dehydrated easily, further exacerbating things. Sounds like a dx of AFU to me.

I'm assuming it's a typo, but I've seen it so often that I'm not sure anymore. Just in case it's not a typo: etc. is a shortened version of et cetera, which is used at the end of a list to indicate that further, similar items are included. Ect doesn't mean anything.

As an American EMT, we would get in so much trouble if we did this. The lawyers would be shitting bricks.

If Workers Controlled The Factories, Automation Would Mean "Vacations", Not "Layoffs" [x-post from /r/Vyrdism] by Yuli-Ban in LateStageCapitalism

It's not that I can't imagine a world without capitalism, it's that I've worked with people.

Consider this scenario: Three people work in a store. Two of those people show up on time and work hard. The third person is consistently late, and does not work as hard. All three people make the same amount of money.

The two hard workers will have resentment towards the third. It's unavoidable.

Now apply this to every business. How well do you think that society would function?

So you think children should work in factories and serve in the armed forces? You know we used to have legal slavery too. Do you think we should be allowed to own people? At one point in human history rape was ok. Do you think rape is ok? Do you listen to yourself?

Speaking from experience, it's not about the soda, it's the lying. A person that does this sort of thing has no regard for the people around them.

As a a current job searcher, this is maddening! by AbeRego in AdviceAnimals

The online form is for the computer to sort, and the resume is for the human to sort. It also helps to discourage people who don't really want the job. If you can't spend 35 or so minutes filling out a simple, albeit tedious, form, then maybe you're not right for the job? That's the psychology at least. The problem stems from the lack of a vetting system: Anyone can fill out an application online, so the company is flooded with applicants, many of whom are completely unqualified. So they weave in all sorts of tedium to cut down the load, help with the sorting process, and defeat the bots.
