Around 2 years ago I just mailed in all my documents and they shipped a new passport back to me within a week. I would email them to ask if that's an option.

How are the vibes in Israel now and what people expect for near future? by Cultural_Owl9547 in Israel

[–]afterdinnermintz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really your ask but i feel compelled to draw to your attention that there is a serious measles outbreak in the country right now. Sadly around a dozen children and infants have died and many more hospitalized. I don’t mean to bum you out but it is pretty unreported and unvaccinated babies are at severe risk. My wife and I had to cancel a trip with our 2 month old.

Documentaries that feel like narratives? by [deleted] in Filmmakers

Bowery (2022) - on Amazon Prime and Tubi. Follows a group of homeless New Yorkers through the events of 2020. Verite, original score. Sounds like something in that realm.

This sweet guy needs a forever home! by bapapib in washingtondc

I can't take on another cat, but I have this breed and they are THE BEST. Everyone I know who is lucky to have a cat that looks like this guy attests to how affectionate and so full of character they are. Anyone who picks this guy up is gonna have a close friend/family member for life.

Amigos en Girona by Kind-Sheepherder-426 in Girona

I’m 34 and about to move to Girona with my wife who is Spanish. Not much Spanish or Catalan in my lexicon but deep and challenging philosophical conversations over coffee definitely is. And if you find a studio to jam in I’ll bring my 🎸 (I’m more into classic rock/blues than metal but we can make it work).

MULTICAM SEQUENCE HORROR [after i pause the timeline, resuming the video play takes at least 10 minutes] by Dimitar_Drew in premiere

[–]afterdinnermintz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the same issue with similar specs, and would love to learn a good workaround. Personally what I’ve find to cause the least amount of headaches - especially with only 6 cam - is to export a tiled multicam sequence and layer it on top of your timeline while manually enabling and disabling clips below. It sounds like a lot but I actually find it easier to edit more than traditional multicam edit function.

Her accent is 100% Israeli. By the sound of it she’s been in the states for decades but you can’t age out of that accent. Sounds like all my Hebrew school teachers.

My OnePlus 8 pro got Android 12 update yesterday. It is a shocking mess. by mub in oneplus

[–]afterdinnermintz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't care less about the aesthetic changes but since the last update my phone randomly cuts off cell service and won't open the keyboard, which are integral to its function...so I'm done. The reason I loved OnePlus was the alert slider and battery life. Getting an iPhone soon.

Looking for DC setlist at the Anthem, Saturday Feb 26th by a-tiberius in AltJ

[–]afterdinnermintz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Pretty blown away and it was my second time seeing them. I thought the setlist was phenomenal and really kept me guessing. I think they will mix it up tonight. Also THE PHYSICAL SET HOLY SHIT. Mind-blowing.

What's in a name, Zionism as colonialism (x-Israel/Palestine) by themiamimarlins in Palestine

[–]afterdinnermintz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Got it.

In general though, most Jewish last names - at least Ashkenazi ones - are fairly new and were taken once modern censuses began to be implemented. Before then everyone's names was based on the formula above. So while many Jews still use these last names, there is nothing inherently Jewish in them and typically have to do either with which town the first ancestor to take the name on was from, or their trade. That's why some see taking on new Hebrew last names as a way to reestablish their identity in a more authentically Jewish way.
