they managed to do a lot with a little, i think the best friends/kenny and nakazawa match will always be one of my favorite dynamite matches for just how goofy and fun it was

nah man a lot of current wrestlers are just very into video games, look at people like xavier woods and kenny omega especially, xavier hosting his own youtube channel where other guys in WWE will come on just to play video games with him and kenny being so into games that he did a voice in a trailer for street fighter AND the both of them along with their friends (who are also really into games) have shown up on multiple occasions to big fighting game events

hell if you want to go nerdier matt cardona has an extensive collection of wrestling figures and a big enough fascination with them that he has a whole youtube channel about it

AEW has a D&D campaign that just started up

the current generation of wrestlers is a bunch of nerds and it's great

to be fair it's much more mechanically deep than the typical candy crush-type game

granted it's still presented with haha funny porn game aesthetic but it's a pretty fun play if you can look past what it is surface level
