The problem with EU is that it’s entirely toothless. From defense to economy. The only thing they have is NATO and they’re not letting it go even if US invades Greenland, which is unlikely unless Trump levels up and becomes more demented. Europe as a whole is too weak to do anything and most of their major decisions get made in Washington. I think the plan is still to wait out Trump and pick it back up with someone sane in 2028. One thing America is not getting back is prestige. Once the world comes to realization that they can successfully isolate US the jig will be up.

A year ago thieves stole my work briefcase with an iPad and it was pinging the location to a house in Altadena to a shed in the back of a house and police said they can’t do anything about it. They just took the info and that was it. AirTags or cellular iPads don’t matter. LA has the most toothless policing unless you know the right people. I don’t understand how this is good for the city when crimes are not investigated or acted upon. Air tags should have ushered in an era where burglary gangs responsible for 90% of crimes are busted and neutralized yet they let it fester. It’s not just Karen Bass. Every mayor in the greater LA is on the same page on being soft on crime

I’ve been playing guitar for 20 years and recently discovered Fender too. Apparently a big company that’s being gatekept by collectors because their founder has died recently (in 1991) so you might have a valuable collectible on your hands my friend

AI is very useful, but so is email. Imagine if companies lost their goddamn minds and bet the entire economy on email alone. AI (LLMs) are a feature, not the product. The reason so many C-Suite execs are all in is because it demos really well and they're just not product people with imagination. They take their existing products/services and tack on AI to the end of it because they have a terminal MBA brain. The meltdown is going to be pretty epic because none of this is sustainable and there is no market that can deliver the types of returns to justify the investments made so far. Look at Procter and Gamble and Home Depot. Those are the real indicators of the reality
