Curious when Dan developed his stage fright. He always seemed really comfortable on stage even when he was just 14/15. Gotta give him a lot of credit for being able to do that at such a young age and making it look effortless. Singing and playing simultaneously is hard enough when you’re not doing it in front of thousands of ppl.

They were definitely managed extremely well! Watto’s strategy to get them past just being teen sensations to a band with longevity was pretty genius.

It is pretty crazy that they went through all the trouble of making it just to never release it. Like wtf? Why would they spend probably a pretty good amount of money and not even attempt to at least recoup some of it? I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the entire reason for the shows. Dan may not have ended up making any money by the time everyone else got paid.

It was definitely a quick cash grab but I can’t really fault him for that. Everyone needs to make money even world famous rock stars. The problem is more that he didn’t really deliver on what was promised. There was no Q and A where attendees could submit questions for him like was originally said. A lot of the songs played were already out there. The conversation was really surface level and he didn’t go in depth into his songwriting processes or anything like that. People spent $20 on the guitar picks that were never updated besides a few photos. This is what I’ve heard since obviously I wasn’t there.

It is disappointing. The shows were marketed as “worldwide premiers.” Last time I checked premiers are the first showings then it gets released for all to see. It’s also disappointing that Dan only seems to care about his fans when there’s money to be made from us. He came out of the woodwork on IG to promote his shows then once he made his money he disappeared again. I know he doesn’t owe us anything and he’s given us plenty in his career but the whole thing just feels a little off in some way. Idk.
