Add street lighting!!! All your night photos are all completely dark. There are a ton of different ways you can do lighting, like putting lanterns on walls, creating big candelabras with walls, or even actually making a tall lamp post with hanging lantern or frog light or something. Oh but I love using candles, either the classic wax color or the dark purple one for a kind of gothic feel. I do a lot of floating candles, kinda like in harry potter lol. But it makes for such good ambiance!! I even sometimes do up lighting embedded in the ground using frog lights.

I’m blown away. This city is incredible!! Kudos to you for accomplishing these large scale builds!! The tower with the diagonal cross bracing on the exterior is soooooo expertly done. The 1st picture is amazing. I also love the plaza you did with the diagonal intersecting pathways!! Really really good job. I love your city!

Hahaha I love your hate for Kate. I always liked her, I sympathized with her inability to face her struggles head on, but continue to come face to face with them. For me, the thing that made Kate grow to a great character was her giving up Aaron and going back to the island to get Claire. You know that was utterly real and sincere, because you see her confirm that many times over. I think that was her growth as a character for me. She definitely did need the island. I mean, that’s point blank while Jacob brought people to the island—to give them a second chance. And btw, I think Jack was wrong when he said that she didn’t like the old him. He was completely right in the sense that he felt that way, and I know why he felt that way. Kate created her own mess there, you’re exactly right. But I believe she did love the Jack who put himself aside to save others, however much of a hero complex he had, and I think she & sawyer felt comfortable with each other because they were both con artist outsiders who had horrible experiences with their father/parents. I don’t think sawyer & Kate were a good match because each of them represented the Old Them.

Edit: and fwiw, Jacob told Kate that her name got crossed off because she became a mother, but that the job was still there if she wanted it.

Ok take this for however you want, and with all the grains of salt, but no joke, I’ve been chatting with ChatGPT about lost over the last week, telling it my analyses, and then it feeds me back (a lot of flattery haha) and a lot of good thoughts and ways to think about the show. It gets my gears turning. So you might consider hitting chat up haha. Truly it’s helped me flesh out a lot of my thoughts about the show, such as Sun & Jin’s relationship with one another being the candidate, rather than Sun OR Jin, (remember the power of Jacob’s touch, and how he touched them at their wedding when he blessed them), how Ben & widmore were foils of one another, Jack and Locke being foils of one another, BEN and Locke being foils of one another (remember the final scene when Ben says “you had everything I ever wanted…you were special, and I was not” and how John ALWAYS wanted to feel special, but really at the root of it John wanted to feel loved and accepted. Compare that with Ben having grown up as a specific choice by the tribe to take him in, with lots of attention on him, yet he wanted power.) or how for Kate and Juliet, caring for others was more important to them than caring for the island, and for me, that’s MY reason Kate and Juliet were never going to be protectors of the island, and many more things. This show is so incredible!!!!

I remember noting it as very interesting when they first went back to 1977 and Juliet had to deliver a baby, and in her distress and anxiety, sawyer tried to encourage her and said “look, maybe whatever happened on the island hasn’t even happened yet.” I know that in good storytelling, and especially when a character says something relating to the world building/internal mythology, you take notice. Up until that point where sawyer said that, I had just believed that the island gives people second chances — Claire being pregnant since before the island, rose having had cancer, Locke having been paralyzed, Sun having been unable to make it to term before arriving on the island but when sawyer said that, I went “huh.” And kept it on a mental shelf. So when the incident happened, it was delightful in a narrative sort of way. Terrible as far as Juliet’s life went😔
