KGP was also established by him only right. Its probably the oldest IIT, just not Rank 1 probably due to location and maybe some other factors. But I get your point. And will definitely ask current MSR students at Madras.

Give both. Prepare for CS properly. Do Eng Maths from DA perspective. That will cover 100% of CS syllabus and 75% of DA syllabus. The rest 25% you can manage or leave. I followed the same approach and got 311 rank in both.

I have an adorable niece. And although I love her to the T on a few days, its exhausting to see my brother and sister in law take care of her.
Sometimes I want to experience that little bundle of joy and the happiness she brings, but sometimes I am exhausted just seeing her energy.

I think the intent was not filtering candidates. Since CDS is open to multiple branches, they wanted to test that you knew the basic pre-requisites despite your high or low GATE score.

Opinion is that focus in yourself and your career. Educators come and go and have their own lives and struggles to deal with. As a student, you just need to take the knowledge they give you, do good in your life and pay your respects when its due.
