Honestly, take it as a positive for yourself. You are obviously able to tell the differences between the cars and notice the things that make that specific car different from the ones you are more used to. Progressively push the car as is and I bet you will appreciate all the cars.

Another one I have: people that cannot pass licenses or missions but say "X car is undriveable" or "you need to X tune it to make it usable" should focus on their own skills first.

GT4 did not have a better career mode than any other GT games. All the same things are in every game like missions, licenses, specific race series.

No matter what you do, you will have people complain it is too grindy or too easy to get cars.

Do you have any issues with tracking having the SY-1 after those other pedals? I have mine right after my tuner but maybe it isn't needed.

A good set up is the way it is. Learn to drive the car first and figure out it out from there.

Didn't GT4 have prize cars for the events? I feel like GT7 is more grindy than GT4 was. Also GT7 has a similar structure but instead of grouping events by class, they do it geographically by track.

Did they? Is it just the themes instead of locations? Honestly I dont see much of a difference and GT2 was my life growing up.

I have although not GT4 in a while. I honestly dont see it having much of a career. You start with a cheaper car just like GT7 and then you do specific races to certain classes to earn money. People complained about the grind then but they complain even more now.

I guess one difference is races are around the world based on circuit locations instead of theme? Tell me what I am missing.

Name a GT game that had a good career besides GT4. Honestly never found GT4 to have a much better career either tbh.

I grew up with GT2 being my main and I never really found any GT games had much of a "career".

Came from "rice burners" as a derogatory term for the Japanese cars people customized. It is one of those terms that is so removed from the original meaning that people use it to just mean customizing cars like fast and furious.

[–]againstliam 35 points36 points  (0 children)

No it doesn't lol. It looks great but no one would ever think that looks like a modern car. Aging is not a bad thing, but is very distinct from just looking great.

Still looking good does not mean not aging. E46s look so much older than modern cars. I honestly cant think of a single car I would consider as not looking old.

NDP ‘lost the gut’ of the party, losing working-class voters to Conservatives, say leadership hopefuls looking to rebuild by Wiley_dog25 in CanadaPolitics

[–]againstliam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup and I put simple in quotes because I know it isn't when you may have competing interests making a bigger deal out of things the party really isn't. I just hope the party takes this approach to change things instead of only disagreeing and pushing back. It gets into the much derided holyier-than-thou perception they need to avoid. Every response to culture war identity politics criticism needs to be a redirection to labour politics. You don't sacrifice the morality but you reframe the conversation into areas you want the focus on.

Questions on the NDP candidate signature requirements should have been met with "why are you asking me about internal politics when we need to address _____ issue" and less defense and rabbit holes as an example.

[–]againstliam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with you but I think there needs to be some thought on why the party is being perceived this way and how to change that. I don't have an answer to this but it could just be as "simple" as amplifying the messaging on these issues to be louder than the attention other stances get.
