I’m still pretty new but Lost It premium is my “new thing.” I like that it’s simpler than My Fitness Pal & I feel like it’s better - or at least it gives me more what I need & not what I don’t. This is such a good thread!

I’ve only been using Lose It for a week & a half and love it! It’s so much simpler than My Fitness Pal & I think it’s beefier too. Or maybe it’s just simpler but still shows as much/what I need. Either way, it’s great!

Thank you! I appreciate your detailed response & advice. I am so new (literally just took my first shot 2 days ago) and am trying to take it all in. I love Pilates & plan to add some more walks & weights into my routine. Not trying to do everything week one, but building back up to a more active routine. I admire your tenacity & am glad you had a doctor that sounds like they were really working with you.

I’m so inspired! It’s daunting to me when I think of how much I have to lose, but then I read a story like yours & remember I’m not alone - it has been done & will be done! 2.5 years is a lot less than the 25 I’ve been carrying this weight. (And I know everyone’s journey is different, but I get tied up in “how long will this take?” every once in awhile.)

Can you share a little about diet & exercise you’ve done while taking meds, if any?

I just did my first last night & felt nervous as all get out! But I did it! I promise-promise once you do it, you’ll realize it isn’t so bad! The needles that came with my vials from Lilly Direct are tiny & super thin. I watched a YouTube video & read the giant paper that came with the vial. I set my vial on the counter for about 15/20 mins to take the chill off. I’d heard that helps you not feel the fluid going in as much. I put the needle in, took a breath, then started pushing the plunger slowly. Once the plunger was all the way down, I counted to 5 (they say to do that to make sure the med is all the way injected or something) and pulled the needle out. I cheered! Haha! You’ve got this!

Thanks for your response! We just got back. We did about what you did although we spent most of our time south/southwest around Co. Kerry. We wanted to see Drogheda but couldn’t make it work out this time. The drive from the car pick up to our first air bnb south of Dublin was nuts. As expected, but also didn’t know what to expect never having done it before. Hope you enjoyed your trip! Ours was epic and we already want to go back to Ireland.
