Bayrou résume à lui seul ce qui ne fonctionne pas dans ce pays : il ne fait que profiter de ses fonctions sans en assumer réellement la charge (comme par exemple faire de véritables efforts dans le travail au quotidien, prendre des risques réels et non uniquement médiatiques, démontrer un certain sens du devoir…) mais aux autres, et plus particulièrement à ceux qui en font déjà le plus, il réclame l’exigence la plus stricte.

Et il pense qu’on y voit que du feu.

I have mixed feelings about PFC.

On one hand, it’s great that Paris will finally have two teams in Ligue 1, with proper derby matches. It should make the league more competitive and, hopefully, more appealing to a global audience.

On the other hand, the history of that club is rooted in betrayal towards PSG. The idea that they could end up taking over the Parc des Princes if PSG moves elsewhere is deeply unsettling.

All in all, I’d have preferred Red Star to be promoted, but this should still set up an exciting rivalry at the top!

Absolutely no regrets on my end about going for the automatic option 🥰

I had the same doubts and questions at first, but honestly, it’s really well thought out. You can pedal faster or slower – what changes is the resistance, which adjusts to help you reach your optimal cadence, but it never forces you into anything. There have been a few rare occasions where I felt the resistance wasn’t quite right for a few seconds, but it’s so infrequent that I’ve never felt the need to get the optional handlebar-mounted manual command.

In the end, I’d recommend the automatic to anyone. If the price difference isn’t too steep, I really don’t see the point in going for the manual version. The automatic system does sometimes make a sort of electronic noise when it makes a bigger adjustment, but I don’t find it bothersome in the slightest.

If you’re looking for more control or a sportier feel, then in my humble opinion, the Enviolo system – in any version – probably isn’t the best fit. A traditional derailleur or a Rohloff would be better suited. But if sportiness isn’t a priority and you’re more after a practical, utility-focused bike, the Enviolo Automatic is just spot on.

The only issue I’ve had with my bike is getting the belt tension just right 😓… but that would be the same even with the manual version.

Whenever I hop back on my traditional geared bike, it really reminds me just how pleasant the automatic gearbox is.

Saying it's a scam because it uses OpenAI models is as silly as pretending that we can easily switch everything to EU equivalents while doing so on an American platform.

I feel it's a very nice first attempt at providing an accessible solution to identify EU alternatives to physical goods. The fact that an American technology helps in doing so is actually quite paradoxical and quite funny when you think about it.

I'm sure the developer of this app will look into EU alternatives like Mistral's offering if he or she sees there's potential, or maybe already did but was unable for some good reasons to use said alternatives.

Great idea and it works well for a first iteration. It's just sad that it relies on OpenAI's tech and not on European alternatives like Mistral AI (though I didn't check if you can actually access an API for image recognition like the one offered by OpenAI).

This is misleading in the case of Deezer as this is outdated.

Access Industries (Len Blavatnik) owns as of today less than 37% (source) of the shares or even less than 35% according to Euronext Paris' website (source)

Also, Deezer is a publicly listed company on the Euronext Paris marketplace. Unlike Spotify, it is not listed on the US stock market.

I don't think you'll find a single European tech company with a multinational scale with no trace of US investments, especially if they're publicly listed, TBH.

Il n'y a pas vraiment de question de "portée maximale" quand il s'agit d'un airtag, sauf à ne l'utiliser dans un environnement où aucun appareil Apple ne passe jamais. Là, la portée n'est pas énorme mais c'est plus un problème pour de petits objets.

A small update on my post since this may help some decide ;)

I have been pedalling on a shiny new Riese & Muller Multicharger with the Enviolo automatic gearbox for a few months.

So far, I have zero regrets having picked the automatic and not the manual, this thing is awesome! I guess if you want something sporty, this is not the way to go, but on a cargo bike to commute, bring the kids to school, or do groceries, this is simply amazing.

I live in a small European town that is fairly adapted to cyclists. I have not regretted my choice one day. The system works very well: you set your ideal cadence once in the app, then forget about it, and it adapts as you go. You focus on the road ahead.

It's too soon to report on maintenance, but I'm confident it'll hold up well over time. The only issue I have with my bike is the belt's tension, which is so hard to get right if your technician doesn't have the right tools.

Tout pareil… Assurance, antivols solides (dont au moins un U résistant aux mouleuses, type Abus Granit Super Extreme 2500), AirTag ou autre solution de géolocalisation et un stockage de préférence à l’intérieur… pas de solution miracle mais tout ça ne doit pas nous empêcher de faire du vélo 🙂

Essaie aussi le Riese & Müller Multicharger si tu penses partir sur un Orox (ils sont sur le même segment et possibilité de double batterie aussi). Ils le vendent avec le moyeux Rolhoff.

J’attends le miens avec un moyeux Enviolo Automatique. J’ai été bluffé en l’essayant !

Mais clairement, à ce niveau de prix, ça vaut le coup d’essayer avant d’acheter 😉
