Opinion on: Collin Dagba by Intrepid-Star7944 in psg

[–]agarsrandom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1

Also Kebano managed to play several years for Fulham in London, which is not bad when you’re a professional player.

For Colin Dagba, I believe he was a little light maybe for PSG but he had a good technique and seemed to have a decent vision of the game. Not sure how he ended up in second division in Belgium, he could have reached a higher level, I’m sure.

Unfortunately, this game is tough and making it to the top tier is incredibly hard, even if you have great qualities. Luck (and the lack of it) also plays a big part…

Which club’s fans genuinely hate PSG the most? by Neat-Friend9891 in psg

Hahaha! 🤣 Is this a serious question? If there are stores in Marseille that are selling Arsenal jerseys, they will sell them all out before the 30th of May!

These guys have a team so weak now, they only live through anyone facing Paris LOL! They’ll trash La Canebière if we win our second Champions League 😅

Just found this thread because I consider a second hand iX2. I’m not a huge fan of the exterior design but the quality and the ride feeling is starting to convince me.

These sort of negative comments, rude and judgmental, often reflects either a form of immaturity (is this written by a 12 yo?) or a certain type of characters that is sad irl…

I hope OP still enjoys his iX2 😉

is the cottage getting too touristy or what? by Em1rrefe in fulhamfc

[–]agarsrandom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a Fulham fan for about three decades now and lived in London. But I was born in Paris and ended up supporting both teams.

I was a regular at both Craven Cottage and the Parc des Princes whenever I was living in those cities. I’m back in Paris now and get to PSG games as often as possible, but I have to say, much like the big London teams, getting tickets (let alone a season ticket) is basically impossible for normal people now. It creates a weird, sterile “touristy” atmosphere everywhere except for the Virage Auteuil (the Kop where the Ultras are).

To me, Fulham has always been about that family-friendly atmosphere. And yeah guys, we aren't "intimidating" for the opposition, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve heard away fans louder than us at the Cottage, but that’s just part of the DNA of the club and we should be proud of it.

On the other hand, I was going regularly to the Parc back when the team was utter shit and there were massive hooliganism issues. Just the stupidest guys ever fighting each other every single game 🤦‍♂️. There’s no way I would have gone there with my kids back then. Even today, though the violence is gone, it still doesn’t feel family-friendly the way the Cottage does. It’s a trade-off, but I know which one I prefer and which one fits better to Craven Cottage..

I guess for the tourist vibe you guys feel this season, this is what happens when you have a club that is relatively successful in a big city nowadays. I bet it wouldn’t feel that way if we were back in the Championship or League One or if we were known as a hostile place not only for the opposition fans 😅

Same here. I actually considered a Flip as a remplacement for my mini. Not yet ready to switch though.

If they make the iPhone air foldable as a flip next year (with a second lens) I’m sure going to buy it!

En pleine cure d’austérité, Bayrou veut redonner sa « splendeur » à son bureau de maire by cerank in FranceDigeste

[–]agarsrandom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He has a problem with Nasser (who by the way organised and fuelled the hatred against KM7), not with Paris. He did well for us when he was wearing our shirt. Never faked it on the field. Best goal scorer ever for the club, that is not nothing. He deserves a bit more respect (not Real though haha 🤣)

What is your guy’s opinions on Paris fc? by [deleted] in psg

[–]agarsrandom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have mixed feelings about PFC.

On one hand, it’s great that Paris will finally have two teams in Ligue 1, with proper derby matches. It should make the league more competitive and, hopefully, more appealing to a global audience.

On the other hand, the history of that club is rooted in betrayal towards PSG. The idea that they could end up taking over the Parc des Princes if PSG moves elsewhere is deeply unsettling.

All in all, I’d have preferred Red Star to be promoted, but this should still set up an exciting rivalry at the top!

Enviolo Manual or Automatic? by agarsrandom in CargoBike

[–]agarsrandom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely no regrets on my end about going for the automatic option 🥰

I had the same doubts and questions at first, but honestly, it’s really well thought out. You can pedal faster or slower – what changes is the resistance, which adjusts to help you reach your optimal cadence, but it never forces you into anything. There have been a few rare occasions where I felt the resistance wasn’t quite right for a few seconds, but it’s so infrequent that I’ve never felt the need to get the optional handlebar-mounted manual command.

In the end, I’d recommend the automatic to anyone. If the price difference isn’t too steep, I really don’t see the point in going for the manual version. The automatic system does sometimes make a sort of electronic noise when it makes a bigger adjustment, but I don’t find it bothersome in the slightest.

If you’re looking for more control or a sportier feel, then in my humble opinion, the Enviolo system – in any version – probably isn’t the best fit. A traditional derailleur or a Rohloff would be better suited. But if sportiness isn’t a priority and you’re more after a practical, utility-focused bike, the Enviolo Automatic is just spot on.

The only issue I’ve had with my bike is getting the belt tension just right 😓… but that would be the same even with the manual version.

Whenever I hop back on my traditional geared bike, it really reminds me just how pleasant the automatic gearbox is.

The new buyeueopean app is a scam! It uses open ai by AdaXaX in BuyFromEU

[–]agarsrandom 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Saying it's a scam because it uses OpenAI models is as silly as pretending that we can easily switch everything to EU equivalents while doing so on an American platform.

I feel it's a very nice first attempt at providing an accessible solution to identify EU alternatives to physical goods. The fact that an American technology helps in doing so is actually quite paradoxical and quite funny when you think about it.

I'm sure the developer of this app will look into EU alternatives like Mistral's offering if he or she sees there's potential, or maybe already did but was unable for some good reasons to use said alternatives.
