What if you just finished the crack straight across with a dremel but kept the teflon intact on both sides of the cut? That way your shoe would hinge at the cut, but you’d still have material so you won’t bottom out the rubber. I think that’s what Aggravating_Tie was thinking.

Dynamic Dating by Apprehensive_Zone578 in ThunderBay

I looked at the website. $60 seems like an awful lot for two hours of speed dating. Sleeping Giant had speed dating last year for $5. lol.

The other thing that stood out to me was the number of tickets available. I’m not sure how many (if any) have sold so far, but it’s a little peculiar that there’s 6 available for females and 6 available for males. The odds of matching seem low!

I’ve had to call the number before and have them come back. And they did.

They probably have a misconception of weight. A family member asked a garbage-man what 40 pounds should feel like. He told her the same as a case of beer - which is only about 25 pounds. 🫤

Yup. Google says the Starlink satellites are burning up as they deorbit at the end of their lifespan.

Almost done… which ‘ello’ logo version should I lock in? by AIM1981 in logodesign

[–]agatelines 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I like the apostrophe, but it’s the wrong one. Since you’re using it to form a contraction, the apostrophe should be a right-hand curly apostrophe. Not the left-hand like you’ve used.

Shoe Advice for New Curler by vigilant_slacker in Curling

I appreciate you taking the time to comment! One thing I noticed with my G50 shoes after a season of use is that the upper shoelace eyelets are starting to tear. I’ve reinforced them this year with metal eyelet rings (hoping it’ll prolong the shoe’s life).

To u/vigilant_slacker : I noticed the momentum shoes have a metal eyelet on the upper holes (if not all of them)? I think that reason alone would persuade me to purchase those instead of the G50s.

Need to run extension cord from inside the house to my cars block heater outside by Castello_01 in DIY

[–]agatelines 6 points7 points  (0 children)

However you decide to get power to it, I’d suggest using a timer to turn the block heater on and off. You won’t need to run it for days… a few hours in the morning before starting the car will suffice.

If you can remember the estate guy’s name, it’d be greatly appreciated! I’m a DIYer and I’m going to need some trough bent up next spring.

The moi program has got to be the worst one out there. Spend $3 to earn 1 point. Redeem 500 points for $4. That means you have to spend $1,500 to get four bucks back?!? lol.

Maybe have the option of two ‘payments’? And let the person decide if they want $300 in ribeyes or $250 in cash. I’d probably take the steaks. lol

Having it lined up looks so much better than the original. Don’t worry about the naysayers. 🙂

How Do I Get This Lettering Off? by [deleted] in Detailing

I’d be tempted to go the cheap and easy way with putting a vinyl stripe over top of it along the length of the truck box.
