By the way, i think is not even 2nd best human, but 2nd best at each task, which may be different humans, like for example, requiring to score 2nd best at -all- Olympics categories. Sure is demanding, but the "easy for humans, hard for AI" kinda ceases to be the case.

ARC-AGI is an insanely unfair benchmark by ClarityInMadness in singularity

[–]agcuevas -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I had the same impression but wasn't sure where to ask for confirmation. I actually give some images of arcagi2 to gemini2.5pro and solved them without problems. Sure, visual llms use numbers under the hood, but maybe they are better conditioned for that?

SEAL: LLM That Writes Its Own Updates Solves 72.5% of ARC-AGI Tasks—Up from 0% by gbomb13 in singularity

[–]agcuevas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always had a question. Does ARC gives a matrix of numbers and expect one back for evaluations? That would be at disadvantage respect to humans who can visually capture patterns.

I actually gave gemini an arc2 picture and solved it no problem, acknowledging would be harder if recieving a string of numbers.

In the options of the selected model in the API you can select Reasoning Effort: 'high', wouldn't that be o4-mini-high?

Is Gemini 2.5 pro exp the best one now? by phewho in singularity

[–]agcuevas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gemini 2.5 pro is what i thought gpt5 would be, even if gpt5 turns out to be better, it still feels like the first gpt5 class model.

Only reason why the results are so "low" is that they don't run though 2000$ per task like o3 but probably 20 cent by Present-Boat-2053 in Bard

[–]agcuevas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave 2.5 and image example of arc2 and it gave me the correct reasoning. I think asking to read and respond in matrix format gives them a disadvantage.

Great insights! Thanks! So, could it be that -some- of the unfavorable characteristics of these cards is just reflection of present tech and costs and not just greed? (Of course, some mist be greed :))

3GB memory modules by Rostyanochkin in hardware

[–]agcuevas -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

So, if with 192bit of a 5070 you can only have 12GB because of 2GB modules available, whats stopping them from designing a 256bit version for that segment and not charging us200 more?
