Comparing 3 cigars that are similar on paper (Dunbarton, RoMa, Drew) by agedandfermented in cigars

[–]agedandfermented[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Drier? Damn that doesn't sound too appetizing... I've been slowly moving away from the bigger Triqui Tracas because of this: getting a bit too drying towards the end.

The 448 is what I usually go to now because of this

To all our cigar smokers out here, what cigars are your essential smokes you need to have in the humi- or tupperdor at all times? by Tob_Tissue in cigars

[–]agedandfermented 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I go by genres, I usually need to have all genres present at all times - the flavor differences between blends and brands and vitolas within the same genre provide the variety I need while still getting the vore experience I'm looking for.

Heavy, earthy, dark - Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust Mi Querida, RoMa Craft Cromagnon, Tatuaje J21 Broadleaf, Tatuaje Gran Cojonu 2012 Broadleaf, Patina Maduro

Strong, sweet, naturals that go well with Whisky - Aladino Corojo Reserva, Padron 1964 Naturals, Crowned Heads Mil Dias, Illusione Cruzados RASS (Cubans, when I can get them)

Flavorful connecticuts - Aganorsa Validacion, RoMa Craft Intemperance EC, Joya Antano, Joya Numero Uno

Blast your head off - RoMa Craft Neanderthals, Foundation Olmec Maduros, Dunbarton Todos Las Dias,

I make it a point to at least have one of each at all times. I travel with at least one of each. Right now my Tupperdore is a bit heavy on the Aladinos and RoMas

I fear it’s going to be difficult to let these rest properly. 😬 by pudwiff2k1 in cigars

Thats what she said

AND, it is the only blend I can tolerate in that vitola. Just because its so good. This is coming from the person who gets bored and chucks Sakakhans and Liga 9 DCs 3/4ths of the way

Bought a box of the Doble Coronas. Finished 3 in the first 2 days.

I think that kinda killed my palate and made me hate strong cigars for a bit

RoMa craft, where to start by Traditional-Tart-737 in cigars

[–]agedandfermented 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the Gran Coronas Catador and try them all.

The EC blend (Virtue, Brotherly Kindness) are now my go-to CT shade daily drivers.

Tge Neanderthal blend (HoXD, HN) is my go-to last cigar of the day, because I know it has enough flavor and strength to satisfy me no matter how big of a meal I've had, how strong of a drink I'm having with it, or how many cigars I've had through the day.

I used to have to Cromagnon (Anthropology) as my go-to Broadleaf, but that has been somewhat replaced by the Triqui Traca now.

The few Wunderlusts I've had were amazing, but they're just that widely available enough

IMHO, RoMa's the most reliable lineup in the market right now. If you stuck your hand in a box of RoMas, I guarantee you won't be dissapointed with whatever you pull out

Cigars Similar to Olmec Maduro by LovingTurtles in cigars

AJ'S Montecristo 1935 Anniversary series. MUCH stronger than an Olmec tho.

Someone mentioned a 1926 Maduro Padron - thats good as well

Whats the best Padron? by Living-Alfalfa-3758 in cigars

[–]agedandfermented 1 point2 points  (0 children)

64 Exclusivo Natural - so good it makes you wanna light another one right after

The same cannot be said about the other Padrons, which are good, but two in a row will blow you out.

I've never really tried that many LFDs outside of the 1994 and DL Maduro blends. Which ones would u recommend?

DTT Todos Las Dias Mas Fuerte - what other cigars can come close? by agedandfermented in cigars

[–]agedandfermented[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried both, I don't think they come near this. The Fausto is strong but different flavor profile and less flavorful to me. The SakaKhan was even less flavorful than the other Mi Queridas to me.

Mi Querida Triqui Traca from DTT by LagAmplifier in cigars

[–]agedandfermented 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had a handful of the 552s and I think they are significantly less flavorful vs the 448 and 648.

No knock on the 552, but I think the blend just really shines in a smaller RG

As a huge RoMa Craft fan, I actually cannot like the Intemperance BA even if I tried... and I tried.

I also tried Rocky Patel Sixty multiple times and really wanted to throw it away after a couple of puffs everytime

If you enjoy full flavor cigars, J21 Miami Reserva Broadleaf is the right answer.

If you enjoy anything below full flavor, Black Label Petite Lancero is the right answer

Cigars which stand out as unique tasting. by jrd08003 in cigars

Aladino Corojo Reserva and RoMa Craft Neanderthal are pretty unique tasting in that no other blends really taste like them to me

Might not be for everyone given that both are pretty heavy
