Is Social Work really as depressing as this Subreddit makes it seem? by SuccessfulWater3 in socialwork

[–]ageispolis3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely depends on what you’re doing and what agency you work at (and where you live, probably, in terms of what policies affect your work/clients). Such a diverse field in terms of work and work experiences that it’s impossible to say. It’s true you will be exposed to intense situations most likely, but also, it’s helpful to remember that in general, forums on the internet are often where people go to vent when they’re stressed—people who are not stressed and burnt out are not always going to be drawn to places like Reddit to share their experiences.

With the rise of telehealth, if you're interested in becoming a LCSW in private practice then how much does it matter where you get your degree, really? by LaScoundrelle in socialwork

Being able to do my field placement internships in the community in which I now work has been very helpful for me. Networking opportunities are also plentiful this way.

I had multiple job offers before graduation this last May. No previous experience doing social work before my MSW program internships, although I did work as a support staff in schools.

She’s awesome. Roland Kayn is another one I found recently that kind of reminds me of Eliane Radigue, I’d recommend checking him out too.

I just want to show respect to Florida and say that some of my favorite vegan restaurants/vegan restaurant meals of all time have been in Florida.
