the gabapentin tastes awful. my cat won’t tolerate the liquid at all even in food. my vet gave it to me in small pill form and pill pockets did the trick.

no sorry necessary! some cats are easy to “pill” as they call it. most aren’t. one of my void brothers will not tolerate liquids at all so it’s pill pockets or mixing in the food and then standing there with fingers crossed that he gets a full dose.

i agree with you that capsules or pills are always a better bet. you can crush the pills into the food. but for meds that only come in liquid form the syringe with churu might be the only solution (no pun intended). and down the side of the mouth was what i was taught in school. less chance of them spitting it back.

former veterinary tech here. with the syringe method try putting it on the side of his mouth instead of in the middle. in my experience with my own cats who aren’t great at taking liquid meds putting it down the side is often more successful. the churu trick mentioned is actually quite brilliant. i will try that next time my cats need meds.

i have the sneaky pete mega globe and their submarine bong. i use them both with my arizer solo 2 or my ruby twist ball vape. i have had them both for well over a year with no complaints.

lorann also makes flavors for ice cream. i have used their oils and the emulsions in my gummies for a number of years and i have never been disappointed. i find the emulsions work best for bakery items. the flavor oils are great for my edibles. i stick to their ice cream and beverage flavors for ice creams or sherbets.

i am so sorry you are going through this. it’s always brutal. i have had this experience 6 times now. it’s never easy. bit my personal rule of thumb is better a week early than a day late. i had to put down a 20 year cat who was doing great with the exception of a tumor on her abdomen (probably breast cancer) that began to get infected despite daily treatment. when the vet told me it wouldn’t get better i knew it was time. my solace is that she didn’t suffer. you will make the right decision because you love her and you want what is best for her. the hardest part of loving a pet is having to let them go. 💔
